Stroll loses 4 spots - 1 for causing a collision in. practice, 3 more for impeding during qualifying.
Bearman loses 10 spots - Overtaking during a red flag in practice.
Hamilton loses 3 spots - Because Max whined, or impeding in qualifying - tomato/tomahto

Watching F2 feature, huge crash at the 1st corner, red flag, looks like at least 6 to 9 cars out... Not sure why the race was not cancelled, [written at 09:56am local time]...
 
Wow, who is the muppet that parked the safety car? Please report to the Stewards Ofifce to pick up pay for all days but Sunday, you are fired for being a Richard.. RED FLAG for tech pro barrier not up to homolgation.

wow, that has to be one of the worst examples of unprofessional race direction since Abu Dhabi 2021, there was no reason for the race to continue, for it to end on a red flag 3 laps after a crash for the Race Muppet to decide the tech pro was unfit.. Truly a scam on F1, and yeah, Disney running F1 makes sense, seems the rat runs F2..

A strong pole by Lando and a decent 4th by Lewis until the penalty. He’ll have to suck that up and take it for the team though even if it wasn’t his fault. Lewis and Max gave their social media following fans a lesson in respect too.

I think this race is Lando’s to lose tbh, the pace McLaren have on the straights is clear compared to Ferrari who are faster in the corners. It’ll take rain and some SC chaos for him to lose this one I think.

I get why it bothers some but I’ll tell you it was always a Day Saver when we would go in the summer back in the days. Nothing could cool us down in 95F Florida heat like a ride through It’s a Small World. ;)

Found the radio commentary fairly interesting if a bit long. At least they all tried different strategies.
I did fall asleep in the middle because I'm ill today so perhaps that helped.

I’m also ill, and need to study for an exam tomorrow, but I fell asleep because it was boring. Woke up in Landos last lap 🤣

Max is quite right, it’s not really a race. Cars are too big, track is too slow and narrow. I was right that it was Lando’s to lose as nobody was getting past him as long as he kept it on the island. I watched this one on a TikTok stream lol, amazing it didn’t get blocked, but what a dull event. I appreciate Monaco is valuable to the F1 brand but can’t they switch to go-karts for this race and get local kids to throw banana skins and used motor oil onto the circuit for entertainment at least?

Hehehe yes, they need Lego racers there. And love the banana skins. The two stopper didn’t work either, it made it worse. Not even under the blue flag they could pass. Worst race so far.

Is it just me or is Max a different guy in these post interviews since Lilly’s arrival? Sure seems allot less on edge.
 
Interesting race. The different team approaches to having to do 2x pit stops didn’t really change all that much. Still a big of a procession.

Lando absorbed the pressure from Charles at the end. Good for the race for the WC though. 3 points between the two McLaren drivers now.

You just cannot have on-track passing with 2m wide cars on a 3m wide track, but the last time F1 cars were narrow enough to go two wide at Monaco was the 1960s so the only place you can pass is in the pits. So I understand why there was a hope that two pit stops might change things up by offering an extra passing opportunity. But then that was scuppered by the teams backing each other up 20 seconds to ensure no passing during said stops.

So there was some "strategy" in the midfield, but up front it was the standard procession because the McLaren's could not execute the strategy with LeClerc between them and Red Bull and Ferrari could not execute the strategy as their two cars were not running back-to-back.

I'd like to see them make a "Monaco" car. Just a little smaller maybe with less horsepower to keep it safe.
