How long before Hadjar replaces Tsunoda?

If they do it before the end of this season, they are morons.

Only Max can get anything out of the RB21. F1TV showed Yuki's final lap in Q3 and that car was understeering and oversteering in every corner. Yuki had to back off a bit as he could not go 10/10ths without throwing it into the gravel or a wall (as he did at Imola).

Hadjar would flounder if he was promoted. Keep him in the VCARB to gain experience and confidence and then promote him for 2026 and pray the new car design means the RB22 can be driven by mere mortals.

Lando will be too busy with George and Max. I expect George to be extremely aggressive at the start. Oscar off and running Turn 1?
Yup I'm anticipating a return of torpedo George. And to be fair he had a few good starts but was impeded.
Could go either way, but yes if he gets a clean getaway I expect Oscar will be driving off in to the distance.
Same, and that is the advantage of having two cars there. Lando has to do the hard work and Oscar can just drive off.

It was tough to watch in my opinion. Yuki looked so slow and so tentative. Very unlike him. That second seat is cursed, it needs a good driver. With skills like Max. I just can't see anyone on the grid that could do it, except perhaps Lewis and Alonso.

I don’t see it. I don’t by the speculation he is sandbagging to get back in the Racing Bull either.

It’s just the RB21 is a 99% car that needs the top 0.1% to put it on the podium. I’m not a big Rosberg fan, but his commentary during Q3 during Max’s laps tell the story……

Love Max or Hate Max, he’s the top 0.1%. The RB22 will need to be a very different car. The WCC brings in too much revenue. The 2nd car always outside the points is unsustainable. 😉
I was more referring to the fact that Hadjar seems to be the real deal...

Stroll is not going to have surgery, that is obvious, funny how it happened after his missing weigh in, and the Stewards wanting to demote him to cleaning the pit latrine duty....Stroll should have copped a 1 race ban..

Weather update, hot n sunny according to the live F3 feature race.

He has impressed the heck out of me and that is why I want him staying at VCARB. Let him build his confidence and experience over a full year. Same with Lawson. Then promote Hadjar in 2026 and bring in Linblad to partner Lawson.

Well that was an exciting final six laps thanks to Kimi's engine letting go and bringing out the Safety Car.

Piastri serenely cruising to the win. Norris lost out at the start due to being on the bad line, but finished second. Verstappen with a four stop, but only had fresh hard tires for the final run and it cost him dearly with LeClerc passing him for third on the restart and then almost losing 4th to Russell. He then did not make things better by intentionally colliding with Russell to draw a 10 second penalty at race end, dropping him to 10th.

Hulkenberg finishes 5th. Both Saubers had a great drive. One to forget for Williams.

In addition to the 10 second time penalty, Max was handed three penalty points, bringing his total to 11, which will remain in effect for the Canadian and Austrian Grands Prix before earlier penalty points start to drop off. A driver who receives 12 penalty points will have a one-race ban imposed.

Then the FIA rubs salt in the wound by telling him he didn’t have to give the position back to George. Brutal.

No points for swearing on the radio? He is so loved by the FIA, they only gave him a 10 sec penalty, no bans, no courses on anger management? Max n Daddy Horner, I wonder what the 10am Monday meeting will be like??

I wasn’t too sure on the Max and George incident until I saw the aerial footage and it does indeed look like Max lost his temper and didn’t take the expected line into the corner. He seems to be a bit of a flawed genius does Max, excellent driver but does questionable things every few races. Fair decision by the stewards I think.

Race was ok, good result for McLaren 👍🏻

Fair decision? No, but it sets precedent, and that is a problem, next time, someone has a bit of a temper, and puts a driver in hospital, and all they get is 3 points, and a 10 sec time penalty? At minimum this was a 1 race ban, and 5 points, that would mean a 2 race ban.. The FIA is not serious about safety, that is very very clear..

We saw just how bad the FIA is about safety, the bellend parked his car in the fast lane in Monaco during the F2 feature race.. Today, clear and obvious criminal assault, and Max gets 3 points.. The FIA appointed stewards are cowards.

Max needs to take Bill's advice...

Good race. McLaren’s in a league of their own. Lando is going to finish behind his team mate more often than not for the remainder of this season imo.

Max definitely hit George on purpose. Red mist came down and that was that. Shocking behaviour from a professional. Lando confesses he’s done the same move in the cool down room. In Mario kart!

Ferrari did well to get a podium today. Especially as they gave 3-4 seconds away whilst they discussed if Lewis should get out of Charles’s way. Just do it already.

Max tries to crash into people his entire career with his “yield or we crash” driving. It’s nothing new.

Most of the time, people go off track themselves to avoid Max crashing into their car.

Max is simply the golden boy of the FIA why he rarely gets punished for it and why he is still doing it till this day.

We have had precedent for stuff like this in the past when Schumacher literally got thrown out of the entire championship. But Max is simply blessed by the FIA so he gets away with everything.

But Max is lucky these F1 drivers are really nice. Because Max would literally get his ass beat by guys like Senna, Mansell, Piquet (the father of his girlfriend) if he would try to do this against those type of drivers. Piquet wasn’t complaining and that is it, he has thrown fists and kicks to other F1 drivers for crashing into him.

Check this out:

Did any of you watch this?

It was pretty amazing how differently they both went around the circuit and how much faster Oscar was in certain areas.

I didn't get to see the race and had to settle for the highlights. Oscar got an amazing jump from the start line too!

He should get a hefty penalty for that.

But looking at it from another angle, this creates publicity for F1 and gets people talking.

Having a bad guy is good for getting controversy and media interest.

What we need is another Jean-Marie Balestre type character to really get things cooking. “It is the right decision because it is MY DECISION”!!

I know some of the youngsters won’t know who he was - he was a controversial and volatile character.
