Well I want my money back. That was over so quickly. Super fast 🤣

Good calls by red bull and masterclass in handing back a position by max.

I think McLaren compensated for Hungary. I mean after all they pitted Oscar before Norris. Hopefully they can now forget about it and focus just on racing.

They owe Oscar now. It’s not the way to race. Every other race someone owes someone something. Oscar is the Championship leader. Make Lando earn it.

Take off all the downforce from the RB21 and it is a quick car, however it only works on tracks like Suzuka, Imola, Spa and Monza where it is very difficult to pass and you have sufficient driving skills to keep the car on track with no downforce (which Max does).

I wonder how the team is going to setup the car for Baku. That front straight would benefit from no downforce, but I do not think even Max can keep it off the walls in the Old City section in such a configuration.

It will be interesting to see. It’s not as if they can reattach the material they removed from his R Wing at Monza. I assumed the on track modification for Monza was Laurent’s comment to Martin that “Max put us in an unexpected strategy this weekend.” Max might be able to keep it off the walls. He’s in another place right now and can smell blood in the water.

What moron thought 53 laps was decent? We were robbed of a decent race, that should have run to 70/75 laps, the cars would have done the distance.. 53 laps was a joke, pathetic, F1 is too short, and the morons want shorter? Shorter than what? We have A Friday Sprint, Saturday Sprint, Sunday Morning and Sunday 2pm Sprints? F1 is way too short now.. Not the 1st time..

Wow that was a short race. Max on another level at a track where Red Bull chucked everything at that car. Interesting decision at McLaren, but apparently Lando agreed to Oscar pitting first the protect him from Charles and then an awful pit stop, I can see why they did it tbh and Oscar isn’t going to be too upset at losing 3 points. Team harmony is key too at the moment as it’ll likely get a bit tasty later in the season. Lewis did well considering I thought.

Lewis did a fine job considering what he has to deal with .

Start was fun. Pass after pass. Good drive from Max and the McLaren boys.

Not sure I agree with the team orders. I don’t think it will make a difference in the end. But imagine it comes down to those three points at the end of the season?

Great drive from Lewis as well. Shame he had the grid penalty.

Okay - I thought so as well. Is it usually that many laps?

TBH Norris needs to pick up a win, with Russell, Max or one of the Ferrari's getting in front of Oscar. Can't see it myself though.

Team orders will save the day for Norris.

I sure he will have the world championship done and dusted.

McLaren should receive a massive fine and be excluded from the rest of this season and all of next year for doing team orders. The same for any other team doing it.

What moron thought 53 laps was decent

The ones who thought it was that way in 1993, 1995 and other years?

In 1979 it was only 50 laps.

Good call by McLaren, Lando was faster all weekend and the speed before and after were obvious. Oscar didn’t really find his groove this weekend and if it keeps going like this, we might see the gap come down. Team orders are bad for the fans but it’s a team sport and the drivers championship is second prize, even if it’s the one we all get invested in. I’d expect McLaren to do the same for Oscar if this sort of situation arises again. They’ve got a good understanding so far judging by the interviews .

Team orders are fully allowed. Even when they weren’t allowed they still happened.

Everyone fumed about it when an Italian team did it, and when the Singapore GP deliberate crash happened (gave Alonso a useful time to pit).

Teams will probably still find ways to get around it, but it has to be stopped.

Just because the team is British doesn’t mean they should be excused.

Oscar didn't, you're correct. And that is the way the F1 game is played. I still would rather them not, or make it less obvious.

Max was correct for laughing.

As far as I can remember always around 295-310km distance, excluding races shortened due to accidents.

McLaren should just tell Piastri he is the number two driver and his position is to play a supporting role and not be leading the championship rather than trying to play team orders in the race.

I’m still looking for evidence that Crofty can get back on a Jet Ski after sliding off…..

Lando isn’t guaranteed anything at this point. Today’s events by McLaren will come back to bite them in the rear. Toto had very point on commentary in post race. Although TBF, he may just be feeing empowered now that he can assume Horner’s villain role…..

Being here in the States I always find it hilarious to listen to Zak and his “fairness for both sides” mumbo jumbo. Certainly isn’t his operational philosophy outside of motorsports.

Kind of disappointed in Norris. I thought it would be the right thing to do during the after race interview to say Oscar was a real gentleman. On to real disappointment....Monaco staying on the schedule for the next ten years. I realize that it has lot glitz and glamour and the rich love showing off their yachts but it is one sad excuse for a race.

Another Max Master Class. I give him credit for securing pole on tracks you cannot pass. :)

Don't agree with McLaren's call today, but Oscar can afford the three points and now McLaren owes him a favor.

They owe Oscar now. It’s not the way to race. Every other race someone owes someone something. Oscar is the Championship leader. Make Lando earn it.

They don't owe any driver anything. Drivers are employed by the teams, not the other way around. Norris had better track position, sadly due to a better qualifying position, and the team choose to pit him second. If the positions were different, we would have seen the opposite situation. McClaren were transparent.

Oscar didn't get to take part in FP1, which could explain his pace deficit this weekend.
