Some of you lot are unbelievable. Prior to Lando getting disqualified posts in this forum up to that point had been in praise of Lando and McLaren, he gets disqualified and all those that were in support of Lando and McLaren have completely turned tables and are now posting very negative posts. You should be hired by the press because that is exactly what they do, praise one min and turn against the next.

hahaha.. we saw their reaction after that farce of a sprint Q session, like they had been told Stroll was now Team Principle and #1 driver... And that they are all moving to Peru..
Its worth pointing out that the clip was of Lando's mechanics and engineers, not Oscars. There was other footage of them cheering the pole. The team have won the constructors title and right now is split down the middle competing to have their driver as WDC.

Even worse... Shows a team divided.. Exactly why you need a #1 and number 3 reserve, token driver. Zak and mommy Stella really are just not doing a great job...

McLaren will have to lodge a protest against their own driver! I cannot see him remaining at that team for too much longer.
I don't think they will do that. I agree there is some unrest based on some of Oscars comments in the media pens, but I hope they solve that and Oscar doesn't fall out with his second F1 team in such a short space of time. He doesn't need to be the new Fernando Alonso. This situation always occurs when teams allow drivers to fight without one being favoured. It seems to be rinse and repeat and its very difficult to manage.

Teams are always divided when they have this culture. McLaren have never had a number one driver policy and have encountered this scenario numerous times with Prost/Lauda, Prost/Senna, Alonso/Hamilton etc.

I don't think its a bad thing as its a competitive sport and teams should be allowing both drivers to race. You can't have that with a gentlemans approach and not be ruthless within an organisation.

Why do we have the media pen? If the drivers are coached, they are not drivers, they are actors reciting lines, and F1 is 100% fake and not a sport but 100% entertainment, about as real as WWE...

If you are going to have a media pen, then you take the risk of a driver speaking out, they should have a blanket immunity if they speak at the media... You cannot have it both ways..Either it is a sport or it is not..

Still supporting Lando here. He hasn’t done anything wrong personally.

Agree. If they had a No 1 driver at the start of the season like RBR the title would have been decided about the same time as they won the constructors. Not a very compelling reason to tune in for the next 3 months.

Thats a bit like giving an employee carte blanche to speak their mind on LinkedIn about their frustrations with immunity. In any job the employee has accountability. Drivers have to be PR trained as this is a secretive sport and teams and the media will use any weakness to put teams and drivers off during a tense title fight. It is very difficult to maintain a relationship when drivers give emotional messaging, especially when it criticises or questions inner team politics. Lewis for example, is clearly frustrated in his position, but has plenty of experience to not divulge the true issues or throw his team under the bus in front of the media.

Well to some degree I'm sure they are divided. But I'd expect that. You work on driver X's car, you probably are going to be rooting for him more than the teammate.

The Race did an interesting review of the points Lando and Oscar have lost due to both their own errors and team errors/orders. Piastri has lost 87 points (the largest the 16 points he gave up in Melbourne with his off) and Lando has lost 72 points (the big ones being his engine DNF in the Netherlands and DSQ in Las Vegas, each costing him 18 points).
Overall, Norris has lost a fair bit less than Piastri due to his own errors and lost a few bit more than Piastri due to errors outside his direct control.

Lando has had good practice sessions so far. But hard to judge Oscar as he is a session behind. Of course the gaps are minuscule.

One thing I’m not looking forward to next year is if one team has a big advantage due to the rule changes.

Stefano Domenicali has confirmed to Italian media outlet f1ingenerale that additional Sprint Weekends are coming in 2027 as too many fans find Free Practice to be "boring", though he admits the "purists" will be disappointed.

No doubt F1, the FIA, and the race promoters see this as a financial improvement. For me it's a precursor to the end. F1 may survive this cynical move, but it may be the proverbial nail in the coffin for long time fans. Here in the US NASCAR is losing fans and has been since the "Playoff" era began (and before for many) along with the never-ending push to equalize different makes. Indy racing has similar problems. Racing has become obscenely expensive for teams and manufacturers with no end in sight. I think I'm hardly the only long time (60 years for me) racing fan losing interest.

Terrible news. Just following the money.

This was a great piece by them. I'll bet Zak likes Max in the Papaya Suit. Demonstrates just how brutal Max is.

I don't buy for a minute he's 1 sec off in race pace. P3 and quali will be interesting....

I've been following the 23/11 trial. After 5 days it's clear to me why NASCAR will die.

I think the sprint weekends are stupid, they put a LOT of strain on the teams. It seems pointless to me too as you still have qualifying. But if the car is damaged in the sprint they have to stay up to fix the car for the race the next day. And it can be more likely to crash in the sprint then the qualifying.

Of course bring in 24 Sprints per year, have a 2 level series, A sprint CDC/WDC and a race CDC/WDC...
Saturday 10am, Free Practice 1 hour
Saturday 12pm, Sprint Q
Saturday 2pm Sprint

Sunday 10am Q for 1 hour, Drivers that are 1st, 2nd, 3rd in Sprint Race are exempt from Q1 on Sunday...
3x 15 min Q sessions.. Drivers in 1st/2nd/3rd in Sprint automatic into Q2...
As we have 22 cars, and 3 progress automatically, 4 cars are eliminated from Q1...
Q2 session, 5 cars eliminated for
Q3 session, 10 cars remain

Race 2pm Sunday...

Maximum Max. All Day, Any Day, Any Circuit. He was holding back all weekend. Godzilla Lap as expected with a smidgen of help from Yuki as a thanks for the 2026 Reserve Position.😉 Gonna back up Lando and let Oscar and George do the rest.

Just my opinion. Anything is possible. Enjoy the racing while it lasts. 2026 will be sleep mode.

Im a big Max fan but I want Lando to win this year.

The odds are still heavily in Lando’s favor. He’s done well. I just enjoy seeing secessions like today. I get carried away at times with my Max support. I freely admit that. It’s just when I see driving like today the blood flows. Should probably wait an hour or two before posting in here. 😉

I think George is the dark horse at the start. He has nothing to lose. The three in front do. He had a couple of super catches though.

Max for the race win I think. But I think Lando will get P2/3 depending on strategy etc.

Lewis just hoping for a mechanical issue tomorrow I think so he can get 2025 over sooner. His worst season ever.
