i love the Max went back to the raiders, dudes the heart and soul of that team
They (the raiders) had no choice, he was under contract, and there were no other takers. While he's incredibly talented, he's currently damaged goods and no other team is willing to give up a 1st round draft pick, never mind 2

Pro Football Talk - Bills are the favorites to win the AFC East

Its really a no brainer,
The Dolphins largely conducted a fire sale and are more interested in a high draft pick
The Jets are still a mess, and may be looking to tank for Manning
The Pats will probably will be suffering a super bowl hangover. Their schedule will be significantly harder, and so the losses will keep them away from the top of the AFC East.

Every season Bills fans believe it's their year for a super bowl title.....I suspect they'll be disappointed yet again.

NE may not get to the Super Bowl this again year, but I suspect they'll repeat as AFC East champs this upcoming season.

Oh no question and I think that super bowl window has largely closed for them, but given the general weakness of the AFC East they'll take it

I don't see it, they benefited from the easiest schedule last year and they won in the playoffs when they had too, they'll not be so lucky this year. Maye largely disappeared in the playoffs, I'm not sure what happened, was it that he's finally faced really good teams and defenses, or was it nerves, or inexperience? I'm not sure they've improved their WR corps, maybe they can get lucky in the draft. With the O line improvements that should help Maye

The NFL playoff system is set up to reward the division winners, so it's an obvious goal…but it's not the ultimate goal, and in that respect…put up or shut up?

The sports fans in the NE like to rationalize their teams' failures by creating mythical curses. Is there a Scott Norwood Curse among Bills fans?

Certainly NE got into the playoffs via their weak-opponent schedule, but the playoff teams they faced didn't fall into that category. And finding themselves in the playoffs would be a challenge to the nerves of the less experienced players....but that's in the past now that they've been to the Super Bowl (well presumably in the past).

The Bills seem to be a team trying to stop a decline while NE seems to be headed upward....certainly nothing is for certain, but while waiting the results of the draft and preseason, I suspect those trends will likely continue

Cousins signs with the Raiders.

I think this is a smart move by both Cousins and the Raiders. It gives the Raiders a starting QB in 2026, allowing Mendoza to sit back and learn.

And he can let Cousins get crippled ...

Hopefully we will draft some OL after we draft Mendoza... and then next season nothing but OL... lol But i dream, I dream...

My take on Cousins - a very mediocre QB, but a Hall of Fame businessman. He has parlayed his talent to make money like few other people. Whether its gladly accepting multiple franchise tags, or signing huge deals. The man played that part of the game like a maestro

He did indeed.

My take on him as a QB would be a bit more positive then yours; but even so, his best days are behind him and the current Raiders aren't known for giving a QB decent pass protection.

yeah, I've stopped watching ESPN, the Dan info came across social media so I posted here. I don't get how popular ESPN is because the people they have are annoying as anything

but isn't "being annoying" actually their attraction? especially at this time of year when there aren't games and the draft hasn't happened so there's little to discuss?

I can't answer that, just that if its not enjoyable, I won't waste my time and ESPN has long stopped being enjoyable, informative, and worthy of my time.

I think with the rise of the internet, and Youtube, they no longer had the corner on sports news, so they pivoted to some sort of weird entertainment where the "talent" is super annoying

2026 NFLPA Report Cards

The owners tried to suppress this from release, but there are some surprising results (Steelers dead last?), and not so surprising (MetLife Stadium aka Lower Body Injury Field = F-).

Player happiness doesn't necessarily correlate to success on the field, but if you don't win, you can at least have a nice workplace. Woe to those who don't win, and have to suffer the workplace.
Steelers haven't updated the facilities in a long time.
