Honestly, I thought the Eagles should've considered trading Jalen Hurts and keep Brown. It's Hurts' limitations as a passer that has made the Eagles' offense more and more predictable the past season or two. His limitations were apparent in college and it seems he hasn't made great strides in expanding the amount of throws he can or is willing to make, despite having above-average arm strength. That's the danger in having an entire offensive system completely built around your strengths, and more importantly, your weaknesses -- you may not ever be forced to grow your game.

Realistically, who would they get to replace him? Like it or not, he's probably their best bet to win

Plus that would be rather painful cap wise, I assume.

The Rams are going for it. Now or never.

I don't root for them, but I admire the boldness from the front office, which has a plan, even if their QB of the future has lots of question marks.

But if Stafford can manage to not get hurt, they have as good a chance as anyone. They have to be the favorites now, at least on paper.

Hurts was deconstructed a couple months ago.

i love the way the rams are going after it.. wish my Raiders could figure it all out but it is looking promising, i really love that lot of vets showed up at OTA's and are putting in the work.. but seems we are always hyped and they let down but maybe this year it'll be different with Cousins

I think the biggest difference is that the Rams have a solid foundation. One can make the argument that they are only one player away, where as the raiders are not even at square one

you're right about the Rams having a solid foundation, something all teams want and try for. But unlike the Rams, the Raiders attempts to do the same have failed.

What is that the Rams are doing that the Raiders don't do? Is it a matter of having a scouting staff that's better at spotting and acquiring successful players? Or is it just luck?

The Rams have a legitimate owner/owners(?) who understand(s) the game and how to build a successful team.
The RAIDERS do not.

Mark Davis just cares about the logo and how much $ it brings him, win lose or draw hes making money regardless

As do I but differently, I guess.

It means a lot to me and when I see that logo and that helmet it takes me back to the
Pride and Poise days... not this stupid "commitment to excellence" b*llsh*t.

The NFL said there will not be any supplemental draft, seemingly slamming the door on Sorsby
No 2026 supplemental draft; Brendan Sorsby's NFL path paused

Long story short it seems the NFL stated that filing for the supplemental draft mere days before the deadline without any details about the gambling issues, leaves little time for the nfl or teams do conduct their due diligence.

This of course will result in a lawsuit from Sorsby camp, but I think its uphill battle for him

…and now the CFL has shut the door to Sorsby, specifically citing the importance of integrity.

If he wants to play this year, his lawyers will have to find another sympathetic judge.

What about that stupid summer one in the US?

Or is it's season almost over?

I give the CFL so much credit, they just didn't pull any punches in slamming that door. The NFL danced around the notion of not giving teams enough time, saying its a distraction, saying Sorsby didn't really offer much details, etc.

Nope, the CFL said No.

While it seems quite unlikely that Sorsby will find a way into the NFL for this season, it wont be surprising for him to get a chance in the future, although he may have to wait a year or two until the publicity dies down.

The recent Hunter Dekkers situation is an example. Dekkers has recently been signed by New Orleans despite having been convicted of illegally gambling on Iowa State sports teams, including the football team, while he was their QB.

Effect is still the same, he is basically suspended for a year.

He can spend the time training with a good QB coach and be ready if he gets a chance.

So Buffalo Bill's fans are losing thier minds over ticket pricing for their brand new stadium.

Buffalo Bills fans enraged by ‘outrageous’ ticket costs at new stadium — where cheapest seats are $700

I can't believe that they'd be charging that much money for every game. Not sure how its going to fly, but if its successful, the other teams will sure to follow suit.

Ouch! Very expensive!

Apparently that price was for the home opener with the ticket price for most homes games starts in the $350 to $450 (still pricey)

Prices may have upset some of the fans but it appears that there isn't a problem selling tickets (Ai says the initial ticket release was sold out). And if you look for tickets on Ticketmaster, there are only a few "verified resale" tickets available in the "low" priced seats.

Apparently The Bills sold 54,000 "Personal Seat Licenses" for the new stadium, which seats just over 60,000. It's hard to imagine that anyone who bought one of those licenses wouldn't have bought the tickets that they were entitled to buy....even at the new higher prices.

So Aiyuk, as been on a social media tear lately, ripping into the 49ers, posting who he wants to play for Wash, and now complaining about poor treatment from the NFLPA.

Brandon Aiyuk has complaints about the NFLPA, too

He's doing himself no favors, but given that he chose to leave his agent, his missteps are his own.

I think he's salty over the 49ers voiding his guarantees and he chose not file an official grievance. Personally, why would anyone agree to give up 26 million dollars without a fight - that is beyond me.

He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, so to speak.

Early in his career, he landed in the coach's doghouse, but to his credit, he shaped up, and became a good, if not great receiver.

However, during the negotiations for the current contract, he overplayed his hand, acted weird, and in the end, had to accept the team's offer, because nobody else would give him what he wanted. There was a trade deal to Pittsburgh arranged, but it failed due to his own weirdness.

That obviously didn't sit well, and he wasn't playing particularly great before tearing up his leg last season, fresh contract in hand.

Then, the team voided his guarantees because he wasn't participating in his rehab program, before eventually ghosting them.

That has been followed by odd social media postings, which have ramped up lately.

He harbors a desire to be reunited with his college QB in Washington, but if I were an executive there, I'd be wary of signing him after he's eventually cut by SF. The team hopes to do a trade, but no GM in their right mind is going to agree to one, even if he wasn't a malcontent with a lot of baggage. It's clear in his posts that he blames everyone but himself.
