I think that it is a bad idea to have division opponents playing in a foreign country. You are effectively robbing one team of a DIVISIONAL home game. Ideally, the foreign games would be between an AFC team and an NFC team.
Agreed, but with that said the INT'L fans can get a taste of interdivisional rivalries ... that's kinda cool... They can get in on the "OOOHHHH I HATE the PACKERS!" Bears fan vibes... which is probably not unlike a Spurs fan hating Arsenal except the footy fans will have a hundred plus years of generational hate to go with their rivalries etc etc

What are people's thoughts on the high number of international games for next season?

The NFL seeks world domination, so that's the path that must be taken.

Pity the teams that have to endure the travel, hassle and disruption, and the 49ers in particular. Who did they anger to get those assignments?

At least your regular crew of refs will be blowing calls this season, not replacements.

So the full 2026/2027 NFL schedule is out. The NFL tries to make this a media frenzy/day. I'm going to sound like a boomer (because I am a boomer), but I just don't get it. I don't see any hype in who is going to play who in the next season.

perhaps it's intended to catch the attention of a younger audience in an attempt to expand its audience beyond the aging boomer male viewer

The NFL is just greedy. When do the teams playing on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day have to play on either side of that week's game? Do they care about the players' safety and well-being?

Since when do they play on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving? Are there Wednesday games now?

And to answer the second question: No, the NFL does not care about the players.

Wednesday games....just another step towards games every night of the week
lol....I'd guess there would just be one or two games per night.....not every team playing every night 😳

We already have regular games Sunday night, Monday night and Thursday night....OK, I guess they might leave Saturday nights to the semi-pro college leagues

has Joe Burrow sustained a season ending injury yet?
Sadly yes, in tying his cleats, he incurred a season ending hang nail.

AJ Brown to the Patriots. This one isn't terribly surprising, but the price seems a bit heavy. 2027 5th round, and the 2028 first round.

I question why they used their 1st round two years from now, why not bite the bullet and use next years?

Is he worth that much?

Seems like he's been in the league for quite a while now.

ahhhh 8 years... hmmp

That's my thinking. That 1st round pick feels quite painful, maybe that's why they opted to kick the can down the road, and not feel the pain next year. It could be they realized with the harder schedule, they may have a better #1 in 2027? I have no idea why they pushed the #1 out like that.

Russell Wilson makes major career decision ahead of NFL season: Report

"On Monday, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Wilson accepted an offer to join the CBS Sports team rather than playing football in the 2026-27 season."
