You can buy seasons 1 thru 5 and watch them every Monday night.

Speaking of older seasons, I'm just watching Season 1 again and snapped this classic Mac in the background. There's loads of different G4s in the series as a whole.

LOL...

"IF YOU TOUCH MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER I WILL KILL YOU, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

Yea, I'm also pretty good at killing too.

Jack, it's Chloe we've lost you're father. DAMN IT!!!!

What he really wants to say is.... if you f*ckers let me roll how I usually do this would've been over in 12 hours not 24.

Indeed. Watching this series actually shows how repetitive it's got in Day 6. The mole, the double blind by an agent/killer dating a woman who was close the president/candidate but the woman doesn't know it, the CTU mole, the knob-heads from District or Division who come down to take CTU over and screw things up, have Jack arrested and then end up reinstating him....

It's all there. David Palmer is infinitely better than Wayne Palmer though.

Agreed. I really wasn't surprised this season, as if I can see what was coming. Except the cheesy Emo Jack Bauer ending. Bleh.

Some major changes are gonna have to be instituted next season.

Don't get me started on Wayne Palmer. An absolute disgrace.

I really don't know what they can do with it but I'm not a TV show writer so who knows. When you look at it over the seasons, they've gone up a level each time with regard to the level of risk (Season 1: presidential candidate to Season 6: world war with Russia).

Anything they do will need a complete new set of characters, which is fine, but in terms of story and how they deal with Jack's back story in any new setting or role, it might well be a case of a major suspense of belief so they can get going again. I don't personally think that can work and rebuild any of the cleverness it had in it in seasons before. Unless Jack's given full benefit of the doubt and reinstated as something, but we know it's just a mater of time before he goes and does the same thing again.

Also, one things I've noticed is that Season 1 does happen in more or less real time. Season 6? Pfft, most of the scenarios could never have happened in the time allotments.

Seasons 1-5 are brilliant, 1-4 are my favourites, but 6 really messed things up and history suggests when you mess things up that badly, it's very, very difficult to get back to form. I'm hoping it gets fixed but who knows. Some decent casting and acting talent wouldn't go amiss either (LOL at Wayne Palmer, Powers Boothe, Doyle etc).

In agreement. I mean I can't think of anything more to add to your statement.

Here's a fun fact though: Dennis Haysbert (aka David Palmer) was Cerrano in Major Leauge I and II :D

He was also the getaway driver in Heat (the Pacino film) and got nailed pretty quickly in it. He's a good actor. He should never have been killed off in Season 5, or made to step down in between Season 3 and 4.

Some 24 news:

LOS ANGELES (Aug. 16) The seventh season of the spy thriller "24" is facing another production delay.

The real-time Fox drama starring Kiefer Sutherland was scheduled to start filming Aug. 27, but will now begin shooting Sept. 10 so that the writers can complete enough scripts for the new seasonlong plot.

Production was originally set to begin in late July-early August, but the producers' original set-in-Africa story line fell through and they went back to the drawing board.

There has been only one new casting on the show so far -- Cherry Jones as the U.S. president -- with a couple of other deals at different stages.

"24" is going through a major revamping this year after coming off a lackluster sixth season.

Thank God. LA being held hostage was getting pretty annoying. And thanks for reminding me how much I hated the Emo ending of last season.

It will be interesting to see how revamped the show is. We know of a female president, but beyond that what other cast changes are they making.

Well they did leave themselves with a lot of loose ends which will more than likely help them with the up coming season. I like the female president bit as 24 continues to somewhat mirror real life.
