24, Season 5

Was I the only one laughing hysterically every time Chloe shocked that guy with the stun gun? (I wonder if she's like that in real life? )

I laughed even harder when she did it the second time. Drunk guy: "Huh? Wha? <clunk>" :D

By the way, w_parietti22, I don't think that Air Force One was hit with a nuke last year--"just" a regular air-to-air missile. But I agree that this part of the plot is a bit too similar.

How does the bald guy intercept Chloe's phone call yet the CIA or CTU can't here the conversations by the pres. If every phone call is monitored why aren't these being picked up by CTU.

Any clues for next week in the preview after the show? :)
Jack single handedly overts an onslought of fighter jet attacks. Seriously, why doesn't he just play the evidence over every broadcast frequency he can?
The previews at the end of the episode don't give much away. The ones that air Sunday night during The Simpsons and Family Guy are full of spoilers.

You didn't think it would be that easy did you?

Silly rabbit trix are for kids! 3 episodes left. And the finale is going to be 2 episodes one one night.
I really thought Chloe was going to die in that last minute. Good to see Arron is still alive. And it looks like we will get a real showdown between Jack and Henderson.

what a trader he is. Why did the president have to take a drink, it would have been over!!
how did the tape get erased. magnets?

Chloe noooooooooooooo!

It looked like a piece of the recorder was missing in the preview.

If they were so worried about anyone touching the recording, why not lock the door to the room Chloe was working in, if someone needs in, like Jack, she could let them in.

It looks like everyone was wrong this week. The fans should no better.

whats sucks is that i'm not going to be home for 2 weeks because i'll be in China and don't have tivo...
I have to work late all week. I missed Prison Break tonight. I'll probably miss NCIS tomarrow.:(

If everyone on the show thought the way you do it wouldn't be called 24 it would be more like 15 or 10. Maybe that will be how they solve the 24 movie problem. The characters will be a lot smarter when condensed into a 2 hour movie.

Why didn't Chloe have her stun gun when Miles entered the room.:p
That would have been awesome!
I loved when she tazered that guy last week!
Drunk Guy: What kind of computer is that?
Chloe just pulls out the stun gun, and zaps him.

Then she mumbles CTU issue (whatever it was)

Why randomly would Miles want to help the president? Especially after he killed someone and committed treason.

They left Cloe alone because she is very trustworthy, probably one of the most. No one thought Miles was dumb enough to want to help a traitor.

That CGI during the plane landing sequence was pretty bad. There was one shot where it looked like it was from a video game. At least it's a step up from the plane crash in season 2 though.

It looked like stock footage from the movie "airplane".:p

When Miles was talking to Chloe there was something flashing in his right hand when it was next to the recorder. I'm assuming that was erasing the recording.

The question now is, what do they use as evidence? From the previews, Jack is trying to find this group that's been in touch with the President, but also Aaron and Martha know what really happened, so there's still that angle.

I can't believe nothing was pulled off of the recorder before Miles got in there.

you think he would have made a back up right away...hmm i wonder what that device was
I was wondering myself what kind of questions the writers/producers come up with about these things. I mean really, their audience is generally pretty intelligent, but once in awhile you just have to go WTF were they thinking when they did that.

For example, Jack carries around exploding SmartCards, but can't copy a friggin' recording to his PDA.

Also, the airplane is "flying over the desert" according to the Admiral, making it a good target, yet when they go to land it's as if they're over Las Vegas or something.

The President maintains a loaded weapon in his private office at a vacation retreat. Seems a little odd.

In other news, I was glad to see Sec. Heller was going to be alright, although that seems more like a feel-good side note than anything important to the story line.

On alt.tv.twenty-four someone mentioned that Miles probably degaussed it with a magnet, but that in order for that to work, the device couldn't have been solid state / flash memory, it would have had to be magnetic. Also, Chloe's HD should have crash or exhibited some kind of symptoms. Apparently bringing a magnetic field near a flash-based memory device does nothing--if true, that's good to know.

I gotta say, the writers have really mangled this part of the plot.
