I did the "fax us your receipt" thing, and Apple updated my purchase date in a few hours! :D

yeah just called about 10 at&t stores close to the border and i could tell they were trying not to laugh to tell me that they had been sold out long time ago..

Same here man. I have called several stores and everyone acts like they don't know what I am talking about. They said that NO At&t stores have them in the store. But I know that isn't true. So I called At&t, and then that woman said that they don't even sale them online! I tried not to argue with her, but I was looking at the page where they are sold on the At&t site (sold out right now) while she was telling me this... just shaking my head.

I can totally understand the frustration. I probably got in just under the wire, because I didn't even hear about the deal till after work that day. Be patient, friends, I'm sure the deal will come again very soon.

Yeah, but it'll probably be when the 3G phones come out.

At that point, I'd just go ahead and get a new one.

*Hopes for early June 3G iPhone*

It's possible... I personally think June is a little too early for the 3G iPhone to come out, but I'd be happy enough to be wrong (Hell, I'm using mine on T-Mobile and they don't really have 3G anyways).

On the other hand, my iPhone from the refurb deal was originally activated in mid October 2007. From what I heard, it was one of the relatively newer ones in the refurb deal, with many being quite a bit older, and pretty much no one got one much newer than mine. That means that any refurbs that came back to AT&T since November or so have not been resold yet. That includes all the Christmas returns. That's the principal reason I think you'll see more refurbs from them in the near future.

I had no idea so many had gone unsold.

So we could very realistically see more in the next few weeks as more phones are checked, repackaged, and inventoried.

*gets evil grin*

But wait, do I want a 3G iPhone?

Ahhh! The choices are maddening! and the wallet is thinning:eek:

me too, 3g is not a big deal for me since i m in CAnada, it would be nice to have it, but imnot going to use it, not with Rogers' rates that's for sure, I'll stick to wifi, i am hoping for a next gen iPhone simply for the extra memory cap. or a 249 one, or even 4gb one for my dad and my sister.

Updating warranty info

Anyone know if the "receipt" being sent in can be the confirmation email received by ATT with the tracking number?

Scratch that, found my recipt

can some one sent the link again

I tried to click on the link but it seems like it doesnt work.... can someone post the link?

thank you

Hoping the refurbs come back, everyone in my house keeps trying to talk me into getting them one, this would make it much easier......

I called numerous AT&T stores looking for a refurb phone and they said it was a special promo that ended about 2 weeks ago. Stores will not be getting any more in. They had no idea about the online store though but said they probably wouldn't either.
