It's ok as far as the innerbox and the mac itself and picture for the most part EXCEPT it has a few dead pixels:rolleyes::mad:

Going to have to take it back and will probably end up back in here sometime waiting for my replacement. Just when you thought no more "processing" items:eek::eek:

Run it overnight and see if they come on. It's brand new, sometimes that works. If not, take it back. I have never kept a computer with even one dead pixel. These were supposed to be individually calibrated and checked!

p.s. are you sure it isn't drool? :apple:

How do you track the flights/planes?

Ive seen many people tracking the flight for their imac 27"
Do you know how to do that. Im with TNT. Its flying with a plane from Pudong Airport to (idk). (Shipment in transit)

How it looks like:

16 Dec 2012 19:44:40 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit.
15 Dec 2012 20:34:55 Pudong International Airport Shipment Received At Transit Point.
15 Dec 2012 20:27:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
15 Dec 2012 20:24:01 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
15 Dec 2012 19:45:32 Shanghai Shipment Collected From Sender.
15 Dec 2012 18:09:47 Shanghai Shipment Collected From Sender.

Please help!

Slightly off topic - I assume you all know how when you purchase something online your money becomes unavailable in your account until it approves or in Apples case until they ship it.
Well anyway, mine did that as per usual and after it shipped my money became available again instead of leaving my account as would normally happen with any purchase (I purchase a lot online).
So long story short I wonder what happens next. Apple wouldn't be able to just retake the money as my bank would be unaware if the item was actually delivered so they will have to ask me to do it again. Either that or a free iMac in time for Xmas?

Strange indeed. At least for me as I've never ever had this happen.

The original hold on the account is to verify funds. Sometimes they are dropped if there is a long delay between order and shipment, and sometimes they expire. Apple will reprocess the charge, if they haven already. Mine dropped off the account then reappeared shortly before shipping. As much as you might like a free iMac, Apple has the right to those funds since they shipped you the computer, and the bank doesn't care if it shipped or not unless you dispute the charge. Last time I had to dispute a charge (my wife's card number was stolen at a restaurant) I had to sign an affidavit that we didn't authorize the charge.

Has anyone had their status go from "preparing for shipment" to "shipped" over the weekend? They have been preparing my imac for shipment since Friday night. That seems like excessive preparation.

They won't upgrade my shipping anymore on a new order today. Have we determined that it doesn't make any difference at this point?

Guess we'll see. :D

Good Luck, I did a little research and it appears that Fedex has two flights to Seattle almost everyday including Sunday.

I am supposed to finally get mine tomorrow. I am in the first group to ship last Monday on UPS that was delayed in Louisville for almost 3 days.

Hopefully we will both be setting them up tomorrow.

It kinda basically was just drool (see this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1508549/)

Turns out it was just the rounded corners of Preview at fullscreen. The telltale sign was that it was a symmetrical pattern on both bottom corners of the screen. Hopefully this'll diffuse any potential anxiety about the quality of the new iMacs... at least it did for me.. mine's arriving tomorrow :)

3PM Est. Pennsylvania. Originally had a 12/28-1/4 window.

Amazing news for meeeee !! I ordered at 3:25pm EST (Michigan) - same 12/28- 1/4 window - still processing right now.

EDIT; it must have been good luck posting that ! - they just charged my debit card and took ALL of my money :) - still says processing on order status tho
