So is everyone using/going to be using the Apple Migration Assistant with their new iMacs?
I was going to try this. i have far too many programs/passwords, many of which I've probably misplaced and or lost while moving.
My only question would be how to find and get rid of some of the unused things that I haven touched in years and/or orphaned files from programs I purged so that my new iMac doesn't get cluttered with the legacy junk.

U mean it stayed at the status preparing for shipment for two days? Or it took 2 days from the factory to your home?
Is that a small crush mark? Hope it's okay!OMG lookey what we have here guys
Christmas has arrived early, thank you FedEx!!!
When did you order it?just turn preparing for shipment
delivery window: 26/12 - 1/1
Mine shipped on Wednesday I believe and I have an expected delivery of Wednesday, but interestingly enough we were on the same plane to Louisville and neither of us has gone farther than that. Hmmm.
When did you order it?

It's ok as far as the innerbox and the mac itself and picture for the most part EXCEPT it has a few dead pixels
Going to have to take it back and will probably end up back in here sometime waiting for my replacement. Just when you thought no more "processing" items![]()
Anyone ever see this? Just did a status refresh and this popped up.
Yup, happened last Sunday too. Someone said Apple normally does website maintenance around this time every week.

Happy you received it early! But sorry to hear about the dead pixels... Can't believe they wouldn't check that before sending it out... It could probably take a while, so I'd suggest maybe letting Apple know about it, and then telling them you will take care of it once things start slowing down after the Holidays... If it doesn't bother you too much that is.
How obvious are the dead pixels? Can you take a pic?
Edit: It seems that you need 16 or so dead pixels before Apple will replace the screen under warranty. Perhaps returning it may be the best option... Maybe you should call them and let them know you are probably going to return it, and they may offer to replace the screen instead... never know

Thanks, but I would have rather heard that you seen that right before it went from processing to preparing for shipping.
So.... does this mean tomorrow or Tuesday?
