Seriously. what are you saying that makes them wanna give you something?

I placed my order on the 3rd, they charged my card almost immediately and I've called them twice to get them to, at the very least, give me a quicker delivery.

And nothing! They haven't offered my anything. They just say that they understand but there's nothing that they can do.

I'm not in the US. Is that why? What people outside the US don't celebrate Christmas?!

They didnt charge your card, they only reserved the money. So, the money are still on your card until they actually ship the product, you just cant use the money :)

....................

I´m still not able to track anything on Expeditors or anything on TNT, FedEx or UPS. I have no idea were my shipment are or if it will come sooner than expected. It will be merged on the way. Apple gave me 4th of january (3 weeks of shipment!!) and maybe they will actually spend 3 times the length on mine than everyone else - since I have no clue if the imac is stuck in some fishing village far east or actually is on the way..

anyone else have a shipped iMac they cannot track ?

Finally, an update to my tracking! Should be delivered tomorrow. My husband thinks it will be trucked here to DC from KY, but that seems awfully far. Wouldn't they just put it on a plane?

I'm really going to miss all of you and this thread once my machine is finally delivered later today. It is currently 'on vehicle for delivery'.

I'm like a dog, waiting by the front door and looking outside the window every time I hear what might be the UPS truck driving up. At this time of year that could happen anytime in the next 10 hours (before 8pm) but hoping they get it here sooner than that!

UPS exception - warehoused!

I just got a notice from UPS that my 27" iMac is being held in Louisville. It had been scheduled for 12/19 delivery, but as of 12/17 12:31pm its being held.

Louisville, KY, United States 12/17/2012 12:31 P.M. This shipment is warehoused until it is released by Clearing Agency.

I'm assuming clearing agency is customs. Has this happened to anyone else?

A

Edit: Just saw a post right above mine about sitting in KY for 3 days. It looks like I'm not alone. FedEx can clear customs in hours. What's up with UPS?

I feel sorry for the people in the five minute club whose orders haven't shipped. I really, really do. But I want to ask: Has anyone who ordered after the first day (i.e. in December) gone to prepare for shipment? I'm wondering if Apple has begun second, third, and fourth day orders (I'm a fourth dayer, with an estimate shipping date of December 28-January 4). I'm hoping to get it before Christmas. Got next day shipping.

I doubt they will start shipping those before they finish shipping the 11/30 orders. If they start shipping December orders while mine is still processing, I am not going to be happy. But even once they start shipping early December orders, I think it is still going to be a crapshoot whether you'll get it by Christmas or not. If they handle it the way it has been handled so far, then some will get shipped and some won't, for no apparent reason. I just don't think there is any way of knowing. But so far, I haven't seen anyone who ordered in December say that their iMac has changed to preparing for shipping or shipped.

DELIVERED!!! :)

It was supposed to be delivered tomorrow morning at 10.30am but FEDEX came this morning instead at 10.31am.

My computer was shipped from Shanghai on 12/14 to Memphis than LA (I live in Orange County).

It was fun to share infos with you guys. Enjoy your iMac! :apple:

Bayleaves, I can't believe you haven't gotten a status change yet. As a fellow 11/30er, I feel your frustration. It just has to be soon.

Yes, they have. Just search for my thread I created on Dec 31 - Jan 7 orders, and you will see that several people who ordered after the first day are already having their orders being prepared for shipment.

I'm in the same boat bayleaves, I ordered on Nov 30th, still processions with expedited service. I know of at least 6 who has ordered in December and has moved on from "processing."
I made several attempts to call for an explanation but was unable to get through a live agent. Recording: " due to extremely high volume of calls, unable to accept your call at this." Go figure

Well, that really sucks. Okay - I'm calling Apple again. That is just not right.

It really does suck, and I feel bad for those who ordered on the first day and still have their orders in the processing stage. Even though I didn't order on the first day (I ordered on Dec 1), and it's frustrating to see people who ordered days after me having their orders being shipped yet I'm still in the processing stage.

Wow!

On a lark, based on the posts I've read here I wandered into my local SF Apple store this morning on my way to Trader Joe's and left with a new 27-inch iMac. I pre-ordered the same configuration (but with a 3TB drive) through a reseller, but that order still shows as "processing."

Still amazed it was available at the store...

After all these days of hitting the refresh key for UPS tracking, I've finally switched to constantly turning my head towards the window for every car door slam I think is the UPS truck. LOL! Just excited its coming today. :D

And if it wasn't ironic enough...3 FedEx trucks already came this morning and no sight of the UPS truck yet. Shall we try for a 4th?

Delivered!!

Mine was delivered this morning. Unfortunately I am at work until 4:30...
I have waited this long, a few more hours will not hurt. :D

Well, that really sucks. Okay - I'm calling Apple again. That is just not right.

I'm a Dec 1ster, and was given the Dec 28-Jan 4 timeframe. I know people who ordered after me are getting their orders, I really don't care, as long as it is here during the timeframe they gave me. Who cares if other people got it early, you will get it eventually.

UPS handles customs at their KY location. I know it seems strange, but it goes through Alaska without going through customs.

Mine sat in KY for two and a half days.

Interesting. I never knew that. Mine also sat there all weekend.

In any case, mine was originally scheduled for the 24th-31st slot, then was scheduled for Wednesday 19th, and this morning it was updated to Tuesday 18th - tomorrow!

Guess I'll be in a Christmas morning mood tomorrow night :)

I ordered my BTO 27" the day after it was available, and was given a Dec. 31st to Jan. 7th delivery estimate. I just got an email this morning saying that it's shipped. Will be a lovely Christmas gift :)

My original delivery date from UPS was originally set for Wednesday, December 19. :p Just this morning they upped that by one day, saying they will now deliver it by end of day tomorrow. I've not seen UPS ever do that before.

A little of the back story....I ordered my BTO iMac the second they were on sale on the Apple site. It departed China on the 14th and has been waiting in Louisville with an "Arrival Scan" since the 14th, and just received an "Import Scan" this morning. That is when they upped the delivery by a day.

I'll be looking for that UPS truck tomorrow!

Why did yours take so long? I ordered same date and had my original order a week ago in Maryland.

Why UPS Sucks II

I'm confident that UPS will deliver my iMac on Monday as promised, but for the last 38 agonizing hours I keep refreshing only to once again see "Arrival Scan."

For the sake of my sanity, UPS, change something! "Import Scan." "Welcome to Louisville." "Wish You Were Here."

Anything, I beg of you...

It looks like me, Kronen, Ryan.Tanner, were all on the same pallet. I also feel for telebump.

But finally at 10:17 am there was a "import scan" whatever that means. WTF UPS? Our macs have been sitting in KY for three days!!! Get on the ball. Hopefully it will be on an outbound plane tonight for delivery tomorrow. But we'll see.

Well, for all of you 11/30 people who are still processing, here are the results of my call. Short version - nothing. Long version - I had a nice chat with a gentleman in Customer Service, and he told me that he doesn't see anything wrong with my order, and he doesn't know why later orders are shipping before mine. He was very friendly and pleasant, but there just wasn't anything he could tell me. I had been hoping to receive it by this Friday, as 11/21 is the last day before our office closes for two weeks, and he said that could still happen IF it changes to preparing for shipment later today. But obviously, I'm not real hopeful about that. Chances are that it will arrive after I go out of town for a week and I won't be able to pick it up from my office until January 3. I just don't think it's going to be under my tree this Christmas.
