27" Delivery time thread.

So far it looks like (with one exception) that everyone who has gotten "shipped" ordered on the first day. There are 46 entries so it is far from complete but it is a start. It is remarkable that those who ordered in the first 2 hours have a worse track record than those who ordered later in the first day. It could be a bias due to those who are still processing are more likely to visit the thread...but who knows?

After 24 hours, finally changed to shipped!!!

Okay now for the next hurdle. Arrived in Indianapolis at 5:24 AM this morning. I live in Indianapolis. I'm still showing FedEx estimated delivery by 10:30 AM tomorrow morning. Anyone think there may be a chance I can still get it today. I work at the airport just feet away from the FedEx sort facility. this is going to drive me crazy! I could literally walk out of my office, cross the tarmac and pick it up. Provided I'm not shot by Airport security.

I can't do it... I can't lie. Apple, hold up my iMac order all you want. I STILL SAY YOUR MAGIC MOUSE STINKS! SO NYA! No amount of bribery or order expedite...ing.... will make me change my mind!

Just talked to FedEx they said it is containerized with as many as 10,000 other packages and won't be available for pick up until they sort that container. And they usually don't sort it until around midnight tonight. So it looks like that's a pretty firm tomorrow morning by 10:30 AM I guess I'll have to live. She did say if I do happen to see another scan in Indianapolis that that means it has been sorted and I could possibly call again and be able to pick it up so fingers crossed.

Shipped, finally! Estimated delivery: 12/17
Via Fedex.


Ordered 11/30 at 7 AM Central time, estimated dely: 12/24-31
Fully loaded with 3T fusion drive
Rep at Apple bumped it up to 2-3 day shipping, estimated dely: 12/20-27
Went into 'Preparing for Shipment' 12/12 at about 4 AM Central time - about 27 hours before it showed shipped on the website or received Apple email notice.

The Fedex tracking info shows it was picked up last night at about 9 PM Central time, about 10 hours before they sent the shipping notice or upgraded the status on the website.

FYI: The shipment doesn't show up on the Fedex website when tracked by reference/phone #

So just checked FedEx website again. Looks like my iMac was the last one in the container of 10,000 packages and so the first one off because it is now on Vehicle for delivery! I'm feeling a sick day comming on.
