Same here, they selected Next Day Shipping so it defaulted back to UPS standard. No big deal after all, 2 days difference.
 
Mine is on the truck for delivery today!! A day early!
Went to work, now I'm back home again ;-)

This is pretty effed up. Its like they took all the orders from November 30 and shipped out the last who ordered that day first, the second to last, second, etc.
 
Anyone else who had theirs depart Alaska on the 9:10pm flight on the 11th not have any updates since then? Still waiting on mine to arrive somewhere.
 
ahhh so excited. I'm way behind you guys (ordered on Dec. 6th - I know) and my delivery estimates are Jan7th-11th But if late Dec. is already shipping, maybe I'm not too far behind...

Mine still says that, but since I have UPS MyChoice, it gives me email updates. Mine is coming Friday. Yours may be, too. Better sign up (it's free). They will send you an email with updates.

It sure feels like it. I was really hoping mine would arrive by the 21st, as I work for a university and that is our last day at work before our office (where I had my Mac shipped) closes for two weeks. I felt very hopeful when I saw people's iMacs starting to ship and even be received this week. But now I am completely pessimistic. I now know never to bother trying to order something from Apple the moment it becomes available to order.

Small question:
when the status changes from Preparing for Shipment to Shipped,
will you then automatically get notified by email?

I mean, now that mine (finally) went to prep for shipment, is it still worth consulting my ordering status web page regularly?

Preparing to ship, at long last.

Ordered 11/30, 6:00 AM CST

BTO, i7, 680mx, 8GB, 3TB Fusion.
 
I'm officially excited now!!! Was in a meeting when I received the order shipped email from Apple at 9:06am ET. It's coming FedEx and they expect it arrive on Tuesday, Dec. 18th!

Yes, when it goes to shipped status, you'll get an email shortly after.
 
Anyone from Canada actually get their system yet? Also, any Canuks have prep'd for shipping status? :confused: At least Apple is consistent...my status is still "Processing Items", bought it at 5 am EST on the 30th. I called Apple to just "double check" and make sure everything was still going as planned, the service rep told me that everything is fine and volunteered the information that l "may" get my system earlier...:eek:..would be nice, but l'm not holding my breath.

Not until they have a better idea how long it will take. They don't typically assign a delivery date until it's cleared export in China. Mine's on the way to the US, and I have a date (Wednesday, 1 day sooner than Apple estimated).

Scrap, was yours out of AK at 9:10PM on 11/11 and arrived at KY at 6:52AM 11/12???

Mine has been at "Arrived Scan" in KY since 6:52AM yesterday with now change. :confused:
 
So I just called Apple to check on upgrading to expedited shipping. They kept me on hold for 20 minutes, and then told me that it's not really an option and won't really make a difference. Also, if you buy apple care, it starts on the day of your order, which is ridiculous, since you spend a month for the computer to just get there.

Mine was out of AK at the same time. Stuck at "Arival Scan" in KY since 6:52AM on 11/12.
