27" iMac delivery thread (Canada)

Has anyone with UPS whose iMac arrived in Louisville at 7:15 on the 14th with expected delivery of the 19th had an update since arrival in Lousiville?

My package arrived at the same time and my expected delivery date is December 20. I just spoke with someone at UPS and was told that Apple will be doing its own customs clearance for Canadian orders on December 19. Ontario orders will be done in Mount Hope. I live in Vancouver and was told that Apple will be clearing my order through customs in Richmond.

Mine is also sitting in Memphis, TN, waiting to go to Alberta.... Hasn't moved since Saturday.

Ya, I think it is sitting in Memphis. The flights run Tuesday mornings to Saturday mornings (very early). Not usually flights from Memphis to Calgary or Vancouver on Sunday mornings or Monday mornings. So hopefully tomorrow morning )))

I do not understand why but it suddenly changed... (although i actually know it wont stay more than 3 days), Louisville is the warehouse of UPS (if you search World port u will know how it operates), looks like my package will arrive on time.

Mine is on its way to Alberta as well and hasn't updated since Saturday with the update "in transit" at Memphis, TN. It had me scheduled for delivery this morning but I had my doubts when there was still no updates as of this morning so I called FedEx and the guy said it just cleared customs this morning and is in Ontario.

Same here, although mine left Memphis at the same time as a flight to Toronto. No updates from Toronto though. If it was on a truck it should have crossed the border by now and would have been scanned.

Just got home. Picked up the iMac from the FedEx office on my way back and setting it up right now. It's a beauty No dead/stuck pixels, no nicks/scratches....How's yours doing? Have they updated the log?

First off, thanks a lot! Been waiting for this for a couple weeks now Yours will arrive before you know it. Mine took 4 days to arrive once it had shipped and it would have taken 3 if it hadn't been for it arriving at FedEx in China after the cutoff time. It basically lost a day due to that. Once yours ships it will arrive very quickly. I will definitely post some pics but I need to clean up my desk because it is embarrassingly messy. I bought a Corsair Neutron GTX SSD for it which is currently connected using the Seagate Thunderbolt adapter. I have attached the BlackMagic test for the SSD and NovaBench results:

Thank you! I'm sure your patiently waiting to get yours. If there was something I can do to help get it faster to you I would! So far I'm restoring from time capsule. I'll do a full review once it's done and I play with it a bit. All I can say right now is that it's quiet. Can't hear anything..

Thanks! I'm sure you'll get it tomorrow. It is whisper quiet. I also tested the speakers and although they sound very clear, the bass sounds strange, like it is coming out of a metal pipe. I will post some photos shortly.

Placed my order on 27" BTO about 12 MST Nov 30. Got a delivery estimate of Jan 3-8. Saw last night that mine has now shipped from CN. It's shipping to Alberta, expedited. I sure hope it's there by Friday night!

Mine was supposed to be delivered today by 6 but just found out after getting off the phone with FedEx that I won't be getting it until tomorrow. I know this is such a first world problem but IT SUCKS!

Yup. I picked it up today from my local Apple store. Works really well to keep the drive safe from the dangers of my violent dusting habits

This thing is an absolute beauty. I'm so impressed.

That is my favourite Mtn. Lion background, the colours are amazing.
The display fused to the glass is really noticeable. Having used the previous generation iMac you definitely notice the lack of separation between the front glass and the display. This screen is also a bit less reflective.
