3.1.2 suddenly crashes after blacksn0w install

I have the same problem as mentioned earlier but on my 3G (and not 3Gs)!

Trying this solution:

gives a CPU error on the executable BBUpdaterExtreme (in Mobile Terminal) and I thought I had the solution....:(

Can anyone help me further..??

First, make sure you backup everything that you can.
Second, Start from scratch. Put your phone into DFU mode, and restore with itunes 3.12
If you get an error, then try the Restore mode, and restore with itunes 3.12

Third, Follow axactly the tread that I mentioned earlier. Make sure you place the files into the places that they need to go. BBUpdaterExtreme in the bin folder, and left the other files in temp folder.

Forth, fire it up, and make sure it boots fine. If it boots ok, then restart it again to make sure everything is ok.

Fifth, install the unlock via blacksnow. if your phone works well afterwards, then you did it!!!

Since this problem is now confirmed to be due to the baseband becoming corrupted, it looks like maybe my "irresponsible" theory on the baseband being permanently altered might not have been the purest fantasy after all? I believe that with your narrow-minded reasoning the problem would still remain unsolved...

Either way, thanks to everyone in the community who contributed to solving this! Me and a lot of other people are super happy to have our phones working again!
 
Loop Exited

I was having this issue today. My phone is firmware 3.1.2 and jailbroken with blackra1n with a custom profile installed to enable tethering. It was in the boot loop and I was about to restore to the clean firmware. However I had two months of pictures that I had not backed up. I noticed that before rebooting that iTunes mounted my phone for a few minutes so I decided to try to get iPhoto to sync the last two months of pictures.

I waited for the phone to reboot then when iTunes mounted the phone I opened up iPhoto and then my phone exited the loop and started working again.
 
3.1.2 crash lost unlock

It works. Crazyfool2100 is the man. I tried at least 10 times and it did not work. Then I put BBUpdaterExtreme in the Bin file and the tmp file. Ran the four lines of code? and it worked.

The phone started running all of the code and then I downloaded Blacksnow 2 from Cydia and got my TMobile back.

iphone rebooting after installed blacksn0w

Hi,

I have got 3GS 16GB with 3.1.3 installed. I initially jailbreaked with cydia and everything worked cool... But my carrier was not unlocked. So I tried to use blacksn0w, after which my device is constantly rebooting... It is rebooting for the past 1 hour with no result... (loading and a wheel appears and then rebooting and it is in a loop)

I have windows XP/ windows 7 ... Here every talks about restoring but am not sure how to get it connected to press the restore button as the phone is not even getting in.... Some said pwnage tool can be installed and then restored.. but I do not see any windows version of it... Please let me know how to proceed..

Blacksn0w is not compatible with the baseband installed by 3.1.3. You will have to restore.

to restore, you have to get your phone into either restore mode, or DFU mode.

To get it into a restore mode, do this...
If its in a loop, then press the home and power buttons together for 10s.
Then let go of both of them. your phone should turn off.
Make sure your usb cable is plugged into the computer, but not to the phone.
Now hold the home button and while holding, plug in the usb cable into the phone. Wait about 23s and a restore screen "connect to itunes" should appear.

To get it into DFU restore mode, do this...
if its in the loop,... Your phone should be connected to the computer all times during this. Hold both home and power buttons together for 10s, once screen goes blank, then let go of the power button, and only hold the home button. Wait untill you see itunes pop up on the computer screen with a restore option.

Regarding your phone situation you mentioned above...
If you bought the phone with 3.13 already installed, then you most likely have baseband 5.12.01. It is not unlockable yet to the public.
First of all, are you on an AT&T network? if you are, dont bother with the unlock. Just jailbreak it with Spirit tool. If you need to unlock it for whatever reason, there is no unlock available for iphones with 3.13 new baseband 5.12.01. The thread here is describing how to deal with baseband 5.11.07 or lower.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you encounter other issues.
 
start up crash

hi, my iphone also shows apple logo.. I tried blackra1n but all in vain.. Anyone tell me resolve..

iphone was 3.1.3, downgraded to 3.1.2 custom firmware pawned, then baseband restored to original by the method from the link above, then unlocked with blackra1n. :):):):):):):):):):):)

im new to the terminal stuff...i keep getting an error on line 3

cd /tmp
chmod 755 BBUpdaterExtreme
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
./BBUpdaterExtreme update -f ICE2_05.11.07.fls -e ICE2_05.11.07.eep

edit: nevermind it worked now
