You're right student! lol :D I needed a comma.

This is the internet and like everyone else we all get a little lazy or our brains get in a twist. That's why some people mix up "your" and "you're". Another common one is "there" and "their".

Truth be told, people won't typically mix up the words "your" and "you're". A person that knows their proper usage will typically use them correctly, be it on the internet or when writing, etcetera.

That's true too! Wow, I guess you're the teacher here. :D

You also need to stop putting the quotation marks before the period. Where's TheSpaz? ;)

Battery life for me has gotten worse. With 3.0 on my 3GS was great. With beta 1 it was exactly the same as my good 3G running 3.0. Now with beta 2 it doesn't even last as long as my 3G. First tine ever by 5pm am I down to 60%. Usually it's 80%.

Not only that but push email has gotten flakey.

It works but then there are times where I open the mail app n get emails from 3hrs earlier coming it.

Either it's MobileMe or beta 2

My battery life sucks on 3.1b1 and b2 and I wish I could go back. The 3.0b worked pretty well for me :)

Another limitation 3.1 added was the limitation on how many pictures that can be sent by MMS at a time. Previously on 3.0, (not sure about 3.1 b1) I could select as many photos as I wanted to send by MMS, and e-mail was only limited to 5 photo's in the share feature in the photo library. MMS now is also limited to 5 photos while using the share feature.

Any wireless range fix on b2? Reason I ask is cause my iphone has one bar with wireless even when I set the phone ontop of the router. My wifes 3G gets full signal all around the house. THe router has been cycled etc. Even changed the channel. Its an Airport Extreme.

This advice takes 10 minutes tops, so please try it.

I was having issues with both Betas. Contacts lookup was failing me, ipod would freeze and not play certain songs. I went into settings and did a general-reset-reset all settings, and now i have ZERO issues, and battery life has improved as well. All you have to do when you're done is set up your alarms, wifi, sounds, bluetooth devices, etc. Didn't take me long at all, and I can't believe how much better my phone is running.

Is everyone in here running a mac?

Well, to get the beta you are supposed to be in the developer program, currently you can only work with the SDK on a Mac, so probably. There are those who will get the beta one way or the other, usually thy complain about the issues with the beta the loudest.

Can anyone confirm if the Group MMS bug has been fixed? Its when you try to send a group text and add 2 or more contacts with the plus button and either before or after you hit send it changes to a Group MMS.

Hope that makes sense...

Yes, this has been fixed.

I have iphone 3gs and after using for couple of days i have found out that battery has gone worst i guess 3.0 had better battery. I even have problems with wifi its still buggy i guess something has to do with new drivers of wifi in 3.0. I have have problems with push emails they seems to lag in receving them. The improvements i have seen is in network and startup and shutdown speeds.

Yes, this has been fixed.

This was "fixed" by the updated carrier ipcc file contained in beta 2. Not beta 2 itself.

In other words even if you do not upgrade to 3.1 but stay on 3.0, you're carrier should release a carrier update through itunes which will "fix" this issue.

It's not a bug pe se but rather an option that can be enabled/disabled by the carrier. Apple's mistake was disabling it by default and letting the providers enable it themselves.

In terms of battery & data performance, the 3.1 betas are flops compared to the 3.0 betas

Well, who's to say what an okay or good teacher is right? :D

Wow, this is off topic.

Not to stray off topic again but since there was teacher talk and corrections going on I need to point this out. Everyone saying "okay" need correcting too. The proper term is actually "OK" or "O.K." coming from Oll (or sometimes Orl) Korrect, meaning All Correct.

Okay is just very highly Americanized I guess.

Okay is in Merriam-Webster as a variation of OK, so saying 'okay' is okay.

why does apple limit its developers to macs? why cant PC users use PC's to develop apps?

i have thought about trying it out but not if i have to spend 1100$+ canadian ontop of the 99$ just to become a developer.

Seriously? Are you joking?

Okay is the same thing as OK, just a different way of saying it. It has nothing to do with Americans. Languages evolute over time and it has new words added all the time.

Every language in the entire world have different dialects, different slangs, different spelling for exactly the same meaning for exactly same word. An example would be the US and UK English, colour is same thing as color.

Just because OK came from Oil Korrect, it does not mean that OK is the only accepted word.
