Maybe I shall do that :) thanks

Well, that would be the idea of a beta test.

As stated above, if these builds were ready for day to day use on production phones they wouldn't be in beta. I think that with gmail etc. having beta slapped all over them for so long people have forgotten what it really means...

p.s. good luck making phone calls on your new Mini. :D

pretty tough sittin behind your keyboard. Pipe down squirt.

Cute. How old are you Georgie?

Rather than trying to belittle or insult me perhaps you should take a couple minutes to peruse the history of the thread so you don't make yourself look stupid by dropping random comments like the one I commented on.

That looks like the zoom feature is enabled. Weird. I saw some iPhones in the Apple Store like that and one of the employees said it's just kids enabling the zoom feature. Weird bug. I'm sorry for your trouble and I hope your return goes smoothly. Cheers.

If it were the zoom function, the rest of the screen would have scaled proportionately, so no - it isn't.

As I mentioned, if you'd have taken the time to read slowly and thoroughly, the majority of these bugs ALSO happen on 3.0 final (3GS comes with it). I can make calls on the Mac using Skype, VOIPCHEAP, and Sipgate, ALL Mac compatible. Out and about, I can use my old Nokia, so I'm fine :D I just begrudge paying this amount for a half-working iPhone. The best thing about it is the camera - NO doubt, and I don't NEED one, I just liked the idea of trying it out to see what all the fuss was about. At the end of the day, it's just another overpriced luxury mobile device that I can live without - a computer is slightly more useful tbh.

How do you activate/deactivate the zoom functionality?

I do not see the accessibility option in my settings under general??? I am on the 3G not the 3Gs... Any ideas?

Ah, 3G does not have that option within. I'm not quite sure that's hardware related, but I guess it may have something to do with the graphics processor.

I just updated to beta 2, and now, between the "AT&T" logo and the Wifi bars, i have an "M-CELL" logo, anyone else? screenshot attached

I assume this has something to do with the upcoming Micro Cell, to boost ATT reception via wifi? but its not out yet.... Anyone?

Thanks!

i have the exact same thing. no clue why it's there.

I very much doubt these are widespread issues on 3.0 final, or posts about it would be all over here (which they aren't).

Oh no no, unfortunately there is no Apple-native way to zoom on the camera, although with a 3.2MP camera even a slight zoom would be nice. The Accessibility gives the functionality to the actual phone (i.e. zoom in on actual screens that are hard to read, or make the text white on black). It's great for those with disabilities, but for the most part, they won't get any use from the majority of iPhone users in my opinion.

Agreed, not very useful for me, but thanks for clearing that up for me!

I dont suppose 3.1 fixes the high pitched whining noise that comes out of the 3GS everytime it makes a sound?
