Is anyone else being told through the my3 site that they have 3592 texts, 2395 3 to 3 minutes and 360 any network minutes?

Yet my price plan says I'm on the 10Gb data only deal and I've used the data a bit but it says I've not used any data outside my price plan.

I'm still worried I'm not setup right!

This thread brings back many bad memories I had with 3 UK! Thankfully I canceled all my voice contracts with 3 after the iPhone 3G came out and the mobile broadband contract was canceled last year :)

Will never go back to the dark-side again lol

I received a Three SIM last week but given what I've read here I don't think I'll be using it. These other networks really need to get on device activation implemented ASAP!

Four full days in, 4 long support calls (3 of them costing me 5p a minute) and still no network activation.

It was promised to me at 10am on the 1st June in my last support call (yesterday). I will call again later and feedback.

I'd think long and hard about whether you'd want to go with Three if you're considering it.

There is a freephone number. Try 0800 3586796. Should be one of the options (3 ironically, i think)

how do you know when your sim is activated ??

Just for info. I got an english guy and still had to spell everything out. Then he asked me for my IEMI number and told me should start with 35??? My IPads (on the box starts 01) then he told me it does not mater he can find it from his end.. Not overly confident this is going to work.

I had the IMEI issue also. Apparently mine had too many characters. The only other 35 number I had was my order number on the MicroSIM order letter. Once I gave the agent that suddenly my account was activated.

On another note, I got an acknowledgement reply from Three Executive Office on the email I sent. I don't think it right to post here whats in the content. At least I know its got to someone.

He told me he had found the imei number and did not take one from me ?? MY iPad now says 3 in the top left hand corner and show 5 bars but I still can not get onto the network.

Its been about 3hrs since I rang them.

I take it your problem has been resolved in the reply you got ?

Geez that sounds like a lot of hard work. I got an O2 sim and it works fine, albeit I've not tried to use it out of London yet. I might change my mind when I'm due up north!

o2 is poor in the outskirts of Leicester, work have changed all our Blackberrys over to voda because o2's service is so poor.

Had to restart my iPad to get 3G service, but what you went through is exactly what happened to me. I also put in the APN mentioned earlier in the thread but I have since removed it and the service still works. The email I sent was more regarding the frustation I had with activating the service, similar to what the other posters on this thread have described.

According to 3's website, I currently have 11,627 megabytes of data remaining this month.

Not bad considering I started out with 10Gb (10,240 megabytes).

Not that I'm complaining or anything... :)

I have the o2 sim up and running. was very easy to setup and i like the fact that i can do everthing from the ipad itself.
I went with the 3Gb plan but when i seen the 10Gb plan from 3 i did order a sim as well.
Think i will see how the coverage with o2 goes in the areas i will be in( so far so good with good speeds, work and home) and also my data usage. To be honest dont think i will exceed the 3Gb so would not benefit really moving to 3 even though i would get extra 7Gb for same spend.
The only thing i keep wondering and hearing though is that the 3 network is very fast compared to o2 but the reports of activating on here really do put you off

Took me 11 support calls in total but now I'm up and running on 3.

At one point I got the supervisor's supervisor. Shame the phone line went dead when he was on (!).

Anyway, seems very fast.

No idea what my My3 paaword is as I can't get texts...doh.

The three customer services is dire but the network is superb. I'm glad I avoided O2 and went with them. My recent experience with O2 has been shocking. No service on the whole of the A1 or M1 or near Wembley. Whereas three's network has been superb so far.

Think I'm going to bypass all the trouble, get a pay as you go sim of ebay.

12GB to be used within 12 months.

£35.

No contract, its basically the same sim they give with their pay as you go dongles.
