Right.
The only real potential change might be making the 4S 8Gb.
yeah, that's probably gonna be like $49.99 w/ 2 yr contract.

You have a better Crystal Ball then the rest of us ?![]()
iPad 4 in March 2013 will have 32/64/128gb.
iPhone in September 2013 will have 32/64gb for $199/$299.
Don't see flash prices for a single 128gb chip going down enough for iPhone 2013 to get that.
Maybe 2014!
Please. You know we're all speculating here.
Same exact scenario that I had. I wanted a 16GB White AT&T iPhone, and all they had was the 32GB, so I went ahead and bought it. Very glad I did as I have somehwere around 20-22GB worth of Apps/Videos/Pictures on the phone. I would have hated to constantly have to deleted pics and vids, and always be worried about how much (very little) space I had left.
Unfortunately, there is still a large segment of users like my Dad who use just a few apps, and don't take many pictures, so 16GB is more than sufficient for them.
In terms of incremental cost, I'm sure it's not that much more for 32GB of NAND memory that 16GB, and that is where they really get a lot of their profit margins from I imagine.
He wasn't speculating. He was making a iron clad statement![]()

Not happening.
Prices per Gb for flash are around $1 a Gb, and since the iPhone needs a single chip (unlike the iPod which has 2), a 128Gb chip would be very expensive (more than just ~ $128).
Apple wouldn't take the margin hit to pay ~ $50+ more per phone in production, unless they offered a $499 device.
I could expect a $0 4 8Gb and maybe a $99 4S $16Gb, but there won't be an iPhone 5 with 32Gb for $199, and so forth.
From here on out I'll be buying the largest capacity.

You apparently skipped over Cougarcat's post showing the price of 32gb and 64gb NAND flash. Don't confuse assembled SSD pricing for the contract pricing Apple will pay for raw parts.
I think so
Why would you want a 64GB iPhone? There isn't even file management.

Store more stuff iOS can natively deal with. Nothing more...Store more stuff?? Why do I need to manage the files?
Given that the 16GB model makes up a great part of their sales I don't see it going away any time soon.
