I will be waiting for awhile. My next machine will probably be 16 cores. I have 2 quads and they are doing a fine job with SD. But, I am moving into HD and more complex motion graphics. That is when I will need the extra horsepower.

I have noticed the speculation about new displays has died away?????????????

Prices dropped. Graphic cards suck compared to what is out now. They are capable of making an all Octo Core system and it would double my encoding time.
