I have to say I am very unhappy with the quality of UK iPhone screens!

I have a US iPhone that has a perfect screen - its colours look clear and bright and there is no negative black issue at all.

On the other hand my UK iPhone is terrible... it has a negative black issue and over 5 dead/stuck pixels!

This is my SECOND UK iPhone - I returned the first that had 2 dead pixels and now I wish I had kept it as it was much better than the new one I got today!

You will also see all UK iPhones seem to have a yellow tint to the screen which I do not have on my US iPhone.

I now have to return my iPhone AGAIN tomorrow and quite frankly I am embaressed to go back into O2 again!

Apple need to sort it out immediately!

My iPhone screen is perfect. You have started two threads on this subject. I hope your phone gets replaced, but you can't assert that "all UK phones are crap" based on your experience of two phones alone.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your screen. However I think that you might just be unlucky??

I have not heard of anyone else with issues (although I suppose that there has got to be a first.)

I have a UK iPhone and I have no dead pixels, no negative blacks issue and no colour tint that I can see. Maybe I just got lucky while everyone else got unlucky and is just ignoring/living with the problem?

I hope that the issue is resolved soon for you. If I were in your position I would go to Apple/O2 and keep complaining until I got a phone I was happy with.

The other thread was not started by me! I just mentioned my issue in it.

I would love to see some photos of anyone who says they have a perfect screen from appleservedup.com

Even if you don't have any dead pixels (which I would like to think you don't) I honestly cannot believe any UK iPhones have screens which are NOT in some way showing negative black problems.

So please post a photo of Jay-Z from the site on your phones so I can see for myself please as I am very cynical!

I personally do not think anyone would notice the yellow tint unless they had a phone to compare it with!

Theres already a negative iphone screen thread, the screen issues are hit or miss on the iphones and the quality will vary.

But the point is it SHOULD NOT vary. And that thread is mainly US phones I would love to see UK phone photos!

No offense but seeing is believing!

I would love to see a photo of your screen on the Jay-Z image!

I would love to be proved wrong here so someone do it!

I am afraid I don't know you so I don't trust you!

I think you have a bad screen you just do not realise it like I imagine most of the people who buy a UK iPhone.

If you want to prove me wrong I am happy to be proven wrong!

Here is a new better photo of my iPhones. US phone is on the right!

You can clearly see the HUGE difference between the two of them!

Isn't this all getting a bit silly? Why should anyone have to prove it to you?

Anyway, here's a picture of my picture of your picture(s) on my UK iPhone :D:p

I'm happy with my screen too.

Take yours back, it doesn't look right.

Im pretty pissed about the screen as well, man, even after going through 3 phones already, but theres no need for another thread, you've already posted in the other thread, that should be enough.

Not to be funny but I can get a photo off this thread on my BAD phone and it will look perfect!

See!

The test is not to compare the photo of my phones the test is to compare your phone with the appleservedup.com page and see if Jay-Z is nice and clear like my US iPhone photo or diffcult to see like my UK iPhone!

Possibly.

Where would a tired, drunken man find this information that you seek?

Lol, on the back of your phone, on the serial, the 4th and 5th numbers are your week number (example: 7R744******), or since you said you're drunk, you can go to Settings > General > About and the same serial will be there. To know the # of your lcd panel, on your phone's keypad, enter *3001#12345#* and hit call, this will take you to another screen, select Versions, then itll show you your LCD Panel ID #.

Blimey, that writing is small! Thanks for the tip about the settings!

Week number = 42

LCD Panel ID = 7455232

sorry to be a pain but this comparison proves nothing you can see from the pics that the one on the right (us phone) is more over exposed look at the detail on the bar at the top it's alot brighter. so until you get them exposed the same you can never compare the quality.
oh and have a uk iphone done the test and it was a ok 100% perfect.

Good to hear you got a good screen. His screen definitely isn't okay, the "overexposure" is due to the camera sensing the lighting.
