I have now received two watches, and they both shipped basically overnight.

For the 42, I woke up on 4/29 to find that it had gotten charged during the night and was preparing for shipping. It shipped in the evening of 4/29 and arrived on 4/30.

With the 38, it was charged / shipped on Friday (May 2), UPS flew and drove it all the way to NYC by Saturday morning, where it sat all weekend and was delivered today (Monday). If it had been going to an address where they had Saturday delivery, it would have been delivered on Saturday.

When the watch ships, Apple will give you a tracking number, and you can follow it as it moves through the UPS system, so you would know if it is coming tomorrow or not -- you don't have to wait for the UPS truck to come before you find out.

Good to know on the overnight stuff.

It's nearly 2PM here in Ohio, and I'm still in "Preparing for Shipment" mode. Depending on where it is coming from... I'm pretty doubtful I get it tomorrow. You had some good luck though, so I'll hold out hope.

Both my watches didn't change to "shipped" until early evening.

And my 38 came from California, and it still was sitting in NYC by Saturday morning.

UPS overnight is really efficient. If the watch is shipping from anywhere in the US tonight, it'll be in Ohio tomorrow morning.

Yeah. I don't doubt it will be in Ohio tomorrow. I'm more doubtful that it will be out for delivery tomorrow though. I'd be thrilled to be wrong though.

Yeah, I do have an advantage there because our office is right in the middle of Manhattan, so any packages that gets to the main UPS distribution center in Manhattan by early AM gets delivered that day. Good luck with your watch!

Anxious for movement

Any more movement today for anyone? I'm ready for these to start speeding along.

My confirmation email was @ xx:44 :(

I am with you. I overslept and woke up a little after 4:30 am EST my order processed at 4:33 am which put me in the May 21- June 4 batch. I was so mad at myself. I had no idea 90 minutes would cause such a delay. I never would have went to sleep. Ugh...

I'm hoping for more movement. This was my birthday present to myself and my b-day is May 15th. I will be leaving town 5/31 for two weeks. I hate this wait, I have been waiting for this product for 2 year. I bought a pebble watch over a year ago. Not a fan. I'm Apple all the way. Ahh first world problems. Lol.

I'm at xx:33 and will be sure to post any personal update as soon as I have one. By then, there may only be a few of us left on this forum in any event.

Perfect

Just got my 38 mm Sport Gray watch with black band.
It's the perfect size/model for me. So far I'm very impressed with this watch.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it arrived with a full charge.
It was easy to set up (pairing, setting up Apple Pay, adding apps, watch faces, etc.) but I will need to learn all of the functions.
I imagine that that process shouldn't take too long.
I did wait for it longer than I expected but am very happy with it.

I'm at xx:20 (also overslept)... Given how many "minutes" flew by over the weekend, I'm hoping to be in the next round, and I hope the next round is overnight.

They still have 9 days to beat the original earliest estimate, I have to keep reminding myself ;)

purchase on 4/10 sg 38mm sport
charged at xx:05 and confirm at xx:06
Charged late last week and shipped 5/3 at 5:30pm EDT however when i look at the ups link it just says order processed and and ready for ups/ a UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

Yet the apple email said it would arrive tomorrow 5/5. So I'm unsure if its actually shipped or not considering UPS doesn't show me where it actually is. Has anyone experienced this as well?

Does anyone know the weight of their package? My 42mm Space Grey shipped in a one pound package but my 38mm that is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and it is 1.4 pounds. I just though that this was a bit strange...

My 38mm arriving tomorrow (yay) states 1.00lbs when I check tracking info, it was probably just a scale error or something stupid that made it show up at 1.4lbs

38 mm Sport Gray
Whole package/box is 2 pounds.

My watch apparently just left an airport in LA (Ontario) and won't get to Louisville until 2 AM, then it has to somehow hop over to Kansas City, and then take a truck ride to Lawrence. Seems impossible, but I guess this isn't the first time UPS has done this . ;)

Hopefully I wake up to an "Out for Delivery"

Last time I saw, a xx:17 got charged on their card but there hasn't been very much movement today :/

Mine was a xx:17.

When I woke up this morning (Monday), I found that my credit card had been charged, and the status moved to "Preparing for Shipment" at some point in the night.

Then nothing happened until around 5:00PM(EST), when it changed to "Shipped". Currently, the UPS tracking information says it will be delivered tomorrow (Tuesday).

I imagine the xx:20s will be going out soon.

Now that's what I like to hear! You are the latest one that I have heard of. Hopefully my card gets charged this week!

Mine went from Ontario CA to Louisville, arriving at 2:30 AM. It then hopped onto a plane to New Jersey, arriving at 4:30 AM. I think distance from Louisville to Kansas City is similar? Even if it takes an hour more, it gets there by 5:30.

Following UPS express shipments around the country is really interesting how quickly packages can be ferried around if they put their mind to it.
