I think having the ability to video iChat would be amazing - HOWEVER... who else out there sees potential problems with idiots iChatting while driving? The temptation to look at the person on the other end of the iChat would be worse than texting while driving.

It would be the same people that text while driving. People will do stupid things, a company should not be held acouuntable for someone's own stupidity.

I think that video chatting would make it even worse though. Some people can text without looking but like Shane said, people are going to want to look at their phone more often since they can see someone on it.

True I suppose. On the other hand, I don't ever see the point of video chatting while driving. Maybe someone just trying to show off to friends or something, but it's really not like texting. Just my thoughts.
 
Well I agree on his assumption that the new iPhone "Pro" as he labled it will include an additional "iSight" on the front for iChat applicational purposes, but this rumor starter has had a history for mistakes but this does sound very possible.
 
When I heard "behind glass" i was so hoping there was a way to put this behind the actually screen. That way there is 'eye contact' when using video chat.
 
going to the kevin rose posts... recently hes been pretty dead on. itunes 8 and 3.0...im sure theres one or two more but those are pretty spot on from what he said. hes got a good hook up now
