I've been lurking this thread for the past two weeks, just got around to signing up to say that I've been getting an intermittent 3G signal in Londonderry (border of Manchester, 5 minutes away from South Willow St) and Litchfield.

3G Live in Nashua/Merrimack to Litchfield line

It's official. AT&T has enabled 3G coverage if you live in Nashua and Merrimack through the Litchfield line, but only within a certain distance of the Everett turnpike - maybe 3-4 miles. If you stray west on 101 in Merrimack by PC connection, it's back to ol' Edge speeds. Any day now for those in Litchfield/Bedford/Manchester...Bout time!

If you are still on Edge and live/work in this area, try flipping your phone to airplane mode and then flipping it back after a few seconds. Also, if you work in an RF shielded building that has internal repeaters for AT&T coverage, those may not yet be repeating the 3G signal. Probably need AT&T or your maintenance people to do some tuning...:)

Now the question is, are we going to wait 2 weeks for Manchester/Concord or are they ready to flip the switch here?

we have 3g in Maine now.. the "route 95 corridor" seems to be fairly well covered.

I head up to sunday river (newry, me) every weekend and my phone doesn't seem to have any issues flawlessly switching between Edge and 3g... I think something that throws people off alot is, if they aren't trying to perform any tasks that require data trasfer.. the phone often will still display the E if you're recently left edge coverage for 3g, but the moment you sign on to e-mail or internet, the 3g pops up (provided you are in 3g coverage area)

Not true. AT&T had to fix this issue in my area. My iPhone would stay on EDGE all night unless I manually toggled Airplane mode. A few days ago, my iPhone started automatically connecting to 3G for me in my area. The reason I knew it was not my iPhone having the problem is because I drove into Maine during the time I was having this problem and the iPhone switched over to 3G automatically. As soon as I left Maine, it stayed on EDGE for hours (I was in a 3G area)... as soon as I toggled Airplane mode, 3G came back.

Anyways, it's fixed now, so it's cool. By the way. For the record.. it didn't matter if I was trying to use Safari or Mail... EDGE would still stay on. It was definitely an AT&T problem in "my area" for a week or so. It's all better now.

Lakes Region

Any word on 3G in the lakes region? I have a summer place in Laconia and would like to utilize the 3G network.

5 bars of 3G goodness in Nashua.

I forgot to take a good look, but I think I only had edge at the Verizon Wireless (hah) Arena in Manchester tonight.

I wonder why Manchester is being left out for so long. You would think it would be one of the first places with 3G.

I was told the same thing, except for the Peoria, IL area. Same date. Still. Nothing. Hopefully by the first of the year I will have 3G.

3G is live in Bedford, NH. My wife said she noticed a 3G signal when she was at Macy's.

I will check on Manchester when I get home later.

Concord doesn't have it yet.

3G confirmed live in Concord and Manchester. Getting about 400-460kbps downloads with 2-4 bars of 3G in Concord.

hmmm... no 3G for me in Concord, out by the mall. Turn airplane mode on and off, rebooted the phone a couple of times, turned wifi off, did everything I could think of. Even walked around a mile our so outside. No 3G seen on my phone.

Give it some more time... I know how you feel though. It sucks waiting for 3G especially since you pay for it every month.

Interesting, I lost 3G as well for a bit (I am near NHTI). Had to cycle Airplane mode off/on to get it back. Wonder if they are having some issues with the 3G network up here. Probably some 1st day bugs that are being worked out.

That kind of stuff was happening in my area when we first got connected. It will be solved in a day or two.

Ok so now it's December 14th...Can anyone confirm 3G coverage up Fisherville Road, Concord...up by Schezuan Gardens?! Please please someone check it out for me.

Well, six days later and still no 3G for me in Concord. To make matters worse, since the same day as the upgrade I now have No Service at home. I used to have 3 bars most of the time, sometimes two. Now the iPhone either reports 'Searching' or one bar where I can't make a call.

I guess I need to be careful with what I wish for... seems something they did when turning on 3G has killed their signal to my area. Time to go shopping for a landline phone (yikes)!
