Which may not happen. The DevTeam may just wait for 4.1 since it's already at beta3.

Agreed, the change log only show the PDF fix (however the size of the upgrade seen weird to me for a simple bug fix..but who knows). Unless one of those several other exploit they have it a simple user land exploit that they can waste before 4.1 i don't see it happening.

It's not a upgrade/patch, it's the whole firmware. Also I'd put my house on the dev team not releasing a jailbreak for 4.0.2. It'd only be for people stupid enough to update with having their blobs on file and 4.1 is close.

If they even had an exploit it would get patched for 4.0.1.

I know its the whole thing, but that is what is weird, in the past those package have been much smaller for just simple bug fix, and also from previous records when they list just a few bg fixes on the change log and the file are this large there have been something else going on like baseband upgrade (not saying that is the case here, but it happen before)

Quick question... i submitted the blobs to saurik's server a couple of days ago and got a confirmation that blobs have been saved for ios 4.0. Is this normal or should it read ios 4.0.1?

If you were on 4.0.1 one when you submitted the request then it should've read 4.0.1

I'm not understanding what you're getting at. I've checked and the ipsw's for 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 are almost exactly the same size. Also musclenerd has confirmed there is no baseband update.

Sorry I don't quite understand that?

Probably meant to type 4.1

Now, how many bedrooms is it ?

Just kidding, I agree with you, no exploit will be wasted on 4.0.2

That's why i said "not the case here".. moo point at this point, I totally agree we won;t see a JB for 4.0.2

Yes, is that good or bad ?

Haha I was trying to remember where I recognized your username. I used to hang around in the blog comments section until I got sick of seeing the same question over and over and over.

Well, at least the update is 500 meg. That means it will be at least somewhat more difficult for someone to "accidentally" update.

Not to say in a couple of hours you won't see a thread entitled "I accidentally updated to 4.0.2 and broke my jailbreak! Now what!"
