I think a lot of the anger is stemming from the disorganization, not necessarily the April 24th ship date. It's very frustrating to see people ordering later than you and receiving their watches. In some cases, it's the exact same model.

In the beginning, we had hope: Preorder on April 10th, get your watch April 24th. Within minutes, we had those hopes dashed. Then, suddenly, a large number of people are about to be shipped their watch on 24th, even though they're slated for as far as June. "Oh, I'm 4-6 weeks! I must be getting mine early, too!" April 24th comes and goes, and most of us are still without the watch.

This up and down has a lot of us frustrated and completely unable to predict when our watches are coming. Granted, some of our comments are a little over the top, but you have to understand our frustration.

Exactly how many verifiable examples have you seen of people ordering the same watch, in the same country, getting it on anything other then a first come first serve basis?

I can understand disappointment... if it were up to me I'd have had my Apple Watch the first day they announced it. Launch day also would have been great too, but thats not what Apple quoted me when I bought the watch so I can't really be disappointed.

The frustrating sentiment here is when people assert based on a few anonymous forum statements that this launch is a calamity when in reality the only expectations that Apple hasn't delivered on have come in the form of EARLY shipments.

Not sure how this is possible. My card got charged yesterday (04/27) at 10:36PM. However, my UPS tracking states:

04/26/2015 12:18 PM Origin Scan Phoenix, AZ

In other words, my card was charged after UPS showed the package in the U.S. I think we've all learned by reading all of these comments that Apple Support generally doesn't have accurate answers on matters like this.

Support doesn't know/care about actual shipping status and seems happy to spout anything to get the person calling them to hang up and go back to watching the status page.

I can't say I blame them. They're great on getting billing or shipping info changed or fixed. About questions on special delivery orders, about returning something... questions about status? They know nothing beyond what their system tells us. I wouldn't believe much of anything they say about order status.

My thoughts exactly. I've seen people repeat this claim, but I've been following these boards very closely (too closely, many of you probably think) and I haven't seen anything egregiously out of order. Certainly not in exact order of the email timestamp (not beating that dead horse again, promise) but close enough to give us a general idea of how far along they are.

Verifiable? Zero. I know that the internet is 85% full of lies.

I have heard two of my models being shipped in Hawaii and California, when they ordered after I did (and not just minutes--a day). I've also heard of a lot more of my model in other countries.

The fact is that it is still frustrating. Whether it is true or not, hearing this information and still not even out of processing, it still just sucks.

Yes, we should tone down our complaints, but I'm also saying that they are not completely out of line.

So I don't have the time to read 100 pages of this thread ;) but once an order goes preparing for shipment, how's fast is everyone getting theirs? I assume it's shipping directly from China as my MacBook did which took a total of 5 biz days (fri to following week thur). Or are they bringing them over here in large quantities and shipping them from hubs in the U.S.?

I think as long as its before 5PM you get it next day.

Curious, what is before 5pm, the fact that it went to preparing for shipment? If that's the case that's awesome, it went to that status his morning when I woke up and when was doing my morning business.

Based on what's been happening, you should get a tracking number sometime today. What time was your original order confirmation?

Also, you can try going to http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html
Click Track By Reference, select mail innovations, and enter your phone number with area code (no dashes). This can sometimes give you your tracking information before Apple sends it.

Had to google "Age of Ultron"... why do you need a watch to go see a movie..?

Sounds like I might have some hope tomorrow!

Email received at xx:05:48 am PDT. Still processing right now, but seeing the other :05's starting to get charged, I'm hoping something may happen tomorrow!

Would really love to wear my watch to Age of Ultron. ^_^

Attached the email order processing. Mind you I placed the order right after the preorder started but then that morning changed my original order from a 42 space grey sport to the 42 ss melenise, not sure if that affects anything. Thank you!

Also nothing came up in ups yet when I searched by ref number, might be to early yet, apple may have not sent the tracking number, or is it possible it's coming by way of FedEx? My MacBook was fedexed

No, every watch order is UPS. We think Apple has some kind of agreement with them for this release.

I wish Apple would dump UPS and go exclusive to FedEx. I've always had the best customer service with them. I've heard some folks getting FedEx shipments but I think they were other countries.

Ya I've always preferred fedex, they usually driver a day early, their system and website is easy to navigate, just overall better experience with them. I've dealt with ups hub people and they're just buttheads

The last (granted, only) time I got something shipped by UPS, their tracking didn't update quick enough, so when it came, I wasn't there. Then, they immediately shipped it back to the sender.

I can't say that I was happy, so if given the choice, I choose FedEx.

Why the heck would they send it back to the sender so quickly? Didn't they leave you an info notice to at least go pick it up at the hub? Horrible

"UPS makes up to three delivery attempts, excluding weekends and holidays. The third and final delivery attempt has been made, and the driver was unable to leave your package. UPS reserves the right to return the package to the shipper after three delivery attempts."

Also, you can pre-sign packages or schedule to pick it up at a UPS facility.

Lmao.

"In other exciting news, one of his co-stars in the new "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie (why else would he be doing interviews?) claimed not to have even heard of the Apple Watch."
