I think a lot of the anger is stemming from the disorganization, not necessarily the April 24th ship date. It's very frustrating to see people ordering later than you and receiving their watches. In some cases, it's the exact same model.
In the beginning, we had hope: Preorder on April 10th, get your watch April 24th. Within minutes, we had those hopes dashed. Then, suddenly, a large number of people are about to be shipped their watch on 24th, even though they're slated for as far as June. "Oh, I'm 4-6 weeks! I must be getting mine early, too!" April 24th comes and goes, and most of us are still without the watch.
This up and down has a lot of us frustrated and completely unable to predict when our watches are coming. Granted, some of our comments are a little over the top, but you have to understand our frustration.
Exactly how many verifiable examples have you seen of people ordering the same watch, in the same country, getting it on anything other then a first come first serve basis?
I can understand disappointment... if it were up to me I'd have had my Apple Watch the first day they announced it. Launch day also would have been great too, but thats not what Apple quoted me when I bought the watch so I can't really be disappointed.
The frustrating sentiment here is when people assert based on a few anonymous forum statements that this launch is a calamity when in reality the only expectations that Apple hasn't delivered on have come in the form of EARLY shipments.
