4-6weeks (Deliever May 13 - May 27th) pre-orders

lol yeah that was a slap in the face for some that ordered the same model on pre order day but I'm shocked that none of the link bracelets, leather loop and modern buckle are going to be delivered tomorrow or at least so far.
Just created an account on here for the first time to say one thing, i've been lurking on here for weeks reading every page of every thread, mainly due to this unforgiving excitement about my watch.
Like most of you I have been constantly second guessing the deliveries. I thought I had no chance of receiving this week, given the following points;
- I am in the UK - I believed US customers would have some kind of priority over UK et al.
- I didn't order until more than 5 hours after the opening window (13:20pm UK) - I believed all customers who ordered before me would get allocated stock before myself, regardless of watch/band comboi
- Got a window of 12-27 May for my Steel 42 White - quite a high selling combo, I believe?
- I believed there's absolutely no chance of me being one of a 'lucky few' who gets assigned stock early due to cancellation etc, given the millions were apparently ordered before mine.
Received my dispatch confirmation email this morning, saying it will delivered tomorrow. (I cried, of course)
Now I believe the following theories:
- Apple always had more initial stock than they pretended. They wanted the orders in from all of us willing to hand over money on Day 1. The false 'estimated shipping times' were designed to test the late-comers faith and to probably 'feather the brakes' on the orders. Obviously, as is probably the intention, all news outlets will pick up on how Apple 'over delivered' and went 'all out' to fulfil all of these orders, including all or most of the ones that were initially 'delayed'. Thus creating a huge second wave of Watch orders from all those people initially put off by the waiting time, a huge rise in stock price, and a golden parachute of incredible magnitude to our friend Angela.
OR
- UK had already been allocated X number of units before the pre-orders went live. Whereas there would've been hundreds of thousands of order before mine, i'd hazard a guess and say that most of those were from the USA. So in terms of UK stock, despite me being 5 hours late to the party, I was pretty far ahead in the queue out of UK customers alone.
- I also subscribe heavily to the theory that only certain watch/band combos are shipping in the first wave. According to the previous posts on here, the SS 42 White was quite a common combo to have shipped already this week, so it did give me a glimmer of hope earlier this week that mine would be fulfilled, which turned out to be true.
- The last and most depressing theory, could be that my boss ordered it for me. He is an apple distributor. Did he get priority on this basis?
Anyway, here's my two cents.
Also, worth noting that UK customers may be amongst the first to have the watch in the world, given that a delivery time of 10am Friday for me in the UK would be only 2am Friday for California (is that correct?)
Apple has yet to disappoint, i think you guys still waiting WILL be pleasantly surprised.
Also erm yeah so I guess I know no-one with an Apple watch, can anyone arrange to tap me so I know what its like....

I don't think I've seen any from the 4-6 weeks range that got charged... We both ordered the same model, we're in this together my friend!

Same here but it's all good. At least we will be happy with the color we chose and won't have any regrets. I plan to buy extra bands but not until I see reviews.
would i have better luck ordering the SS sport black model that still shows 4/6 weeks on the website? maybe that will ship today lol or sooner then the SG

I got in the app as soon as it opened, got the 4/24 date, took 15 seconds to check my address, then it updated to 4-6 weeks right before I ordered. Anyway there are still a lot of people in the first wave of SG who are still processing so I guess we will have to wait for at least next week.
i probably should have ordered the SS green sport model and just purchased a black band and i would have gotten my watch quicker
Yesterday I checked and saw it was preparing to ship, checked UPS and got my tracking number, checked apple support and got my serial number, woke up this morning to an official email from Apple that my Watch has shipped. 42mm Milanese loop
42 Sport Silver, White Band being delivered April 24.

I'm waiting for my Black Sport Band (with Silver pin, not space grey) still to ship. I think it's totally crap that I had to pay an extra $49 to get a silver sport with a black band. But I'm thankful overall that I'm getting the watch so quickly. I didn't expect this at all.

I don't think so. There hasn't been much movement with the SS watches this week.
