I guess I'm confused. This is the 5/13-27 thread....why are so many people freaking out that their watch hasn't shipped in time for the 4/24 delivery date?

/confused

I think the beef is that it points to there simply being NO available stock of entire lines of the watch available. It would have been different if say the stainless steel watch with link bracelet sold out in five minutes, but to do a product launch with no product, is kinda shady when you think about it.

What are the chanced 42 SG / black get some movement today? Those seem to be the most in demand, with the least movement.

I agree, I am not impressed with a launch with no product to launch.

Shipped!

Originally in the May 13-27 group up until this morning, just received a shipping notification for tomorrow. Ordered the Silver Sport 42mm with White.

Completely agree.

i am hoping so, but trying not to get my hopes too high.

my confirmation email was at 03:04:43 EST but i have seen orders at xx:03:31 and beyond that were given the 4/24-5/8 window that haven't moved yet.

I haven't really been able to narrow down at what point in the 04 minute the delivery windows changed.

42mm SG BS

I think most of us here aren't expecting our watches to be here by tomorrow especially if our delivery time frame was mid May BUT with that being said, some people that have ordered their watches and gotten this time frame have now seen movement with some of their orders already switched to preparing for shipping or shipped already. Apple did say some customers will get their watches before the time frame we were given so we are all just anxious to see if our orders were bumped up as well...

THIS is why I'm pissed. Its not like they didn't know (reference the leaked German site lead times) so why in the !@$!@#! did I get up at 3AM to order something I couldn't have tomorrow anyway? They should have said look not everything is going to be available on "launch" day rather than string us along.

I realize its JUST a watch and there are more important things in life (many!) but if I'm going to piss my wife off waking her up at 3AM as I order a watch I want the thing when we were told we could have them!

So you don't have to wait for July. This really isn't a hard question to answer when you actually think about it. People that preordered are in a better position to get their watches sooner.

See thats the funny thing, pissed off wife asked me first thing when she woke up at 6:30 AM if it was worth it. Jumped on my phone sure enough same 4-6 week wait at 6:30. So no completely not worth it in this scenario LOL :D

And yet, another thread references someone who ordered an aluminum silver sport with a blue band yesterday and it's already shipped.

I find this hard to believe, but with the mess this 'launch' is, I'm inclined to believe it.

Something is clearly up with the SG sport -- especially the 38mm. At this point, I don't think they are in the States. We'd have seen more shipping information. I'm not sure if it's because demand grossly outstripped demand, or there were yield issues, or they just can't make them fast enough.

The Pink Sports Band seems to be in limbo, too.

I have seen some movement in the SG 38mm.. And by some, I mean less than 10... But the pink band has absolutely none!
I ordered a 38mm with black and 38mm with pink. I have asked apple if there was any manufacturing issues considering there has been minimal to zero movement... And they could say is the inventory is coming in and everyone will have their orders within their timeframe

Ordered 12:11 on April 10, for a 42mm white sport, I also ordered a black sport band separately. Received 4-6 weeks time-frame. White watch just shipped out with tracking number, but black band still in processing

this is so stupid. we're literally waiting on black poly bands. #fail #teamSG46

Will make me laugh if there really is a shortage of black bands .... considering every store has about 10 more of them than any other type!

I keep getting the feeling I shouldn't have ordered the 42mm space grey sport and just ordered a SS with black band... or hell, anything not black. :(

Me every time I check my order status and bank balance:

Long time lurker (since Mac went Intel), first time poster.

I think the issue that disturbs me is that people who ordered well after the first hours, as much as days later, are receiving shipping notifications while others who placed orders fairly shortly after the sale started are still processing, self included.

For previous product launches the energy we consumers placed into being early to purchase translated into getting what we wanted before those who didn't put in as much effort. Now though it appears Apple is treating all purchases equally regardless how much effort you made to be "first" or at least very early.

Basically I wonder why I want to get up in the middle of the night anymore if my order is treated no differently than the person who orders 8:00 the next day.

there might be a shortage which is a good reason why a lot of the SG watches have not shipped. A lot of people also ordered the black sports band a lot with there watch. Only $49 why not order one regardless of the model you purchase.

earlier than promised

:):):):)

I get what you're saying and there has been extraneous occurrences where people who ordered on the 15th got their 38 mm milanese already while I ordered on the 10th at 5 AM and haven't.

However, it's still relatively rare and I'm still seeing more occurrences of those near opening hours get charged while people like me haven't. Trust me, I'd love it if they skipped a few and charged me but Apple's been relatively following order numbers
