This mockup looks more like a Note or S5 than it does previous iPhones.

Which would/could (depending on standpoint ;) ) say a lot about how much a Note or S5 look like the iPad mini or even the iPod touch.

Price is not a problem. Most fans goes to the most expensive iPhone.

The top tier iphone 5s cost me 1175USD unlocked. Each additional 100USD in apple prices typically gives me 130USD additional cost (tax and some safety net for exchange rates). 1305$ US
It will buy me a macbook air 13".

it will buy me TWO Samsung galaxy S5

or TWO Note 3

or THREE ipad minis

I could outfit all my kids with a Nokia 1080 for the price of one iphone.

It would be getting a little comical for a phone.

May someone here please explain to me why the 5.5" model has been facing production issues whereas the 4.7" has not? Could it be due to the sapphire display (potentially exclusive to the 5.5" model) or are there other obvious issues? I don't understand why a larger phone would cause so much trouble.

I guess it makes sense. If you want to make headlines like record millions of iPhones sold over the weekend, you will want to release them all at the same time. Otherwise, if the larger iPhone 6 is released later and majority of buyers hold one for it, the media is going to have a field day claiming that demand for the iPhone has been lacklustre. :D

I wonder which will prove more popular? My money's on the 5.5" iPhone.

I really hope that's not what the phone looks like. There's no sex in it at all. That's something Samsung would come up with.

An aluminum 5.5" iPhone will be prohibitively "heavy". Not to mention absurdly big for a phone. I just don't see Apple doing that. Maybe a refreshed iPod Touch, but not a phone. iPods have largely been ignored by the rumors and they're due for a refresh. Like 2.5" screen for the iwach?? Really people? Apple isn't going to launch two screen sizes for iPhone beyond 4.7" and current 4.0".

I remember the Dell Streak launched years ago with a 5" screen and everyone thought it was the most bizarre thing ever...

Now I'm ready for the 5.5" :)

27-inch iMac and iPad Air here so I'm already go big or go home

That 5.5" iPhone has me looking like:

You sure that's not Asperger's and a thyroid problem?

Most people don't get them unlocked?

Is there any more useless rumor/prediction than saying something "may" happen? So basically, the originators of this rumor can say they were right (or at least weren't wrong) either way?

Oh yes the Streak it was rediculous how huge it was. No one wanted such a gigantic phone and sales fell flat. People wanted RAZR flip phones then, and the smaller Windows phones were more expensive than larger. Small was "in." Now small is "out." I hope flatness is out soon.

So excited to get my hands on both these phones. I expect the 4.7 incher will be my daily driver, but I'll rock out to the 5.5 incher when I need that extra screen real estate for business productivity needs.

Gosh. One minute the 5.5" is gonna be released later. Then at the same time. Then later. Then at the same time. Make up your mind! Lol.

If there will indeed be two versions of the new iPhone 6, it would make sense to release them both together..... but it remains to be seen if there are indeed two versions, maybe one of them is the new iPod touch? or iPad nano?

just a thought....

The 4" models are the perfect size.. can slip it into front jeans pockets.

The most useful phone is the phone you have with you.

If the fabled iWatch is also released during the iPhone event, then does that impact your decision on what size rather price iPhone you get? Let's say price point is $299 for iWatch another $299 for entry level 5.5 iPhone or $600 USD is an expensive fall for the fanboy in me. I will get a 32GB at least too so add a $100 on to that. Do you see people opting to get the 4.7 to save $$ or could we see some sort of offer if you by both.

I just hope Apple streamlines the iPhone lineup because if they end up having the 5C, 5S and both 6 models, it could be potentially overwhelming.

Just keep the 16GB 5S around as the entry level and have the 6 models be the flagship tiers.

And for the love of Jobs, please make 32GB the standard storage amount on the iPhone 6!

They aren't going to replace the 4s with 5s that is too much of a leap. It'll probably just be, iPhone 5c (8gb), 5s, iPhone 6 4.7, and iPhone 6 5.5,
