There's so many people who say they do not want a larger screen and, of course, others who do. Each side claims they're the majority.

    Vote!

I wanted to leave that out of the poll to keep it black and white. :)

Larger screen in same 'shell' wouldn't work cause screen would funny. With same shell iPhone screen can only be made longer not wider.

We're not discussing whether or not it will fit. Some reports say it will, some don't. The poll is just two simple questions to see where people stand.

Oh it will fit however there's no room to make it wider. The result bring you'll have same width screen but longer in same shell. Why wouldn't you want a wider screen? The same length you can live with but a wider screen would allow you to see webpages better.

Again, that's been talked to death in other threads. This is just about the two poll questions.

But that would mess up the resolution ratio.

If considering the current dimensions of the shell doesn't matter, then... I want a 5 inch screen in the same shell...

If the screen size is going to increase, I'd rather have 3.7", and only in a slightly bigger form factor if need be.

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want a 4" screen on the iPhone, if it could fit in the same shell. I wouldn't want the phone any larger, but I wouldn't complain about a larger screen in the same form factor!

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

Even if you *could* fit a 4" screen on the current base, the screen would be edge to edge making it hard to hold. I vote keep 3.5.

My eyes aren't getting any better. I need a bigger screen even if they increase the form factor slightly.

The reason I think there won't be a 4" screen this year: developers.

They'd now have to make their apps for 3.5" Non-retina, 3.5" retina and 4". This is assuming Apple don't keep the current resolution (but then making the screen non-retina. )

I want a screen size of 4" but no larger. I don't mind them making the body of the phone a little bigger to accommodate. 4.3" is too big but I think 3.8"-4" would be nice.

I wouldn't mind a 4" in the same shell. I'm perfectly happy with the iPhone 4 and the 3.5" screen. But if they could bump that up to a 4" screen without changing the actual size of the device and managing to keep a sexy new look to the device, then props to them. I definitely don't want a larger device.

    Yes 4" please!

No disadvantage if it fits in the same shell.

I'd definitely like a larger screen. I've used many phones, most of the time the iPhone, but recently a 4.3" HTC and now the Nexus S with 4".

I found the 4.3" a bit big for my liking, but 4" is nice. Actually when using an iPhone now I feel like the screen is cramped.

Honestly, I don't see Apple changing the screen size though. Making the big change to retina last year would have been the perfect opportunity.

I've been using an htc surround for the past week, and it's screen size is perfect, 3.8". The phones dimensions are the same as the iPhone 4, just thicker. That's what I want. And hey, if it somehow possible to get 4" on the same form factor, even better. But form factor is first and screen size second.

I'd like to see a 16x9 widescreen resolution. It would fit the form factor better and make watching movies and youtube video's a lot easier.

Of course it wouldn't be great for developers and older apps would have to have the status bar along the top (wouldn't fit fullscreen) however apps would catch up and it would be worth it.
