You're probably complaining about the absence of the 4" iPhone because you haven't taken the plunge and tried using the 4.7" for a week or so.

I guarantee you, after a week or two of usage, you'll be surprised at how small the 4" iPhone feels.

Word. I tried my 5S after getting the 6 Plus and wow.

The 4 inches must survive! Phones weren't meant to be this big! I think the 6 Plus should be down played like the 5c since it is one of those secondary releases.

If you have to use reach ability that just goes to show

I think the 7 will have all sizes.

Who the hell are you to determine whether it must survive or not?

Your voice is too insignificant for Apple to hear, because the 4" group is a minority.

Apple is so rich to the point that they can afford to ignore the 4" people.

How would you feel if the only kinds of apple you can buy at the stores are Red Delicious and Fuji if you are 2 out of the 10 people who want a different type of apple?

For 120 millions+ iPhones sold a year, you represent 24 millions, but a minority nevertheless. The profit from those phones is more than the GDP of some countries.

Yes they did sell 24mil last year and its because that's the biggest screen iPhone has. You should take that into account. Do you think those 24mil buyers still want the 4inch screen??

Most of the people getting 6's are android converts who were just waiting for the right moment to pounce.

I've been using the 6 for weeks now. It's excessively big. But refreshing to use. Not quite comfortable to hold though.

You have to use reachability. Bigger phones are a fad.

There is a very good case for keeping the smaller form factor. Many really need the compact size. It's great if your emphasis is communications. Plus, the ecosystem already exists. It's a no brainer to continue the line.

After using a 6 plus for a couple months now I can't imagine using anything smaller. My wife's 6 seems so tiny when I pick it up.

Yes. Me too. At first I thought I couldn't handle its size meaning no one handed use for me and had so much reservations. But now it's like- I should have gotten this in the first place and not went back and forth between a 6 and a 6+. Now am loving it more as I used it more and more. To those who have reservations give the + some time and you will not go back to a smaller 4'inch screen.

And the little bit of a burden a larger phone may have on one handed use doesn't matter to me when I've been using my phone all day from 7am until now at 11pm and still have 40% battery left! That's incredible.

People with a 6 Plus look ridiculous. It's too big of a device to lug around and certainly holds back leading a mobile on the go lifestyle.

No, they sold 130 millions last year. My point were that 24 millions is 20% of those 130 millions who would have bought a 4" phone had three sizes 4, 4.7, and 5.5 were offered at the same time.

Personally I could not use a 4'' device again. I've been using 5+ life iced for nearly 3 years so I'd find it very difficult to use such a small phone now. I stumbled across the Spigen case that I had for my short lived iPhone 5S yesterday and it looked ridiculously small. It's no wonder that I sold my 5S. However for those that want a smaller phone I'm not adverse to Apple bringing one back next year alongside the 6S and 6+S.

But there are people like me who are not so glued to my phone. At the end of the day my iPhone 6 still had 50% charge, so it's a moot point.

The thing is, people on this forum are not typical users out there. If you like the iPhone 6 (I do) or the 6+ (I was tempted), it doesn't mean everyone does.

And it's OK to accept that some people actually want a 4" phone.

I honestly can't stand the size of my 4.7" Moto X. It feels way too small for me. I prefer 5"-5.2" screen. My iPhone 6 Plus was too big, IMO. An ideal size for me is, Nexus 5, Samsung S5 or HTC M8.

Do you have an actual source on that or are you just making stuff up?

They're here to stay. I'm never going back to a tiny screen, and I'm not alone. The majority of the market is buying phones with 4.7+ inch screens.

Think what you want. I upgraded from a 5s to a 6+ and found that I'm actually using it MORE. The extended battery life is great and the large screen is far more useful than the 4" screen on the 5s ever was.

yes, that may be true but what about the fact that they sold more 6/6+ this year compare to the 5 last year. and so far the 6/6+ is their best selling iPhone. so having that no. in their books, i don't think apple will consider another 4inch screen size iPhone.

hmm tell me how this guy look like, ridiculous ? nowadays mobile on the go means you can check emails, browse the web, watch movies, listen to music, more texting and less calls. do all of that on a 4 inch screen the whole day and tell me how you will feel.

The 6/+ does everything the 5's do. You just have a harder time reaching everything. That's all that is.

Why the hell did you even come up with this dumb thread?

You post too much useless threads.

To raise awareness. You never know WHO might be reading this. Anyone could read this, including journalists and Apple people.

I've owned every model of iPhone since launch in 2007. I have a 6 plus.

I think you're incorrect.

Sorry, but anyone who prefers a 4" screen size is just objectively wrong. It's too small. If you like it, stick with a 5S/c.

As a long time Android user, it was no trouble whatsoever adjusting to the 6 Plus. 4.7" is a good "average-sized" model. The masses will be used to it soon enough.
