I think we are going back to the 1980's with these huge phones. Don't look back.

Back in the 1980s, they didn't even have a screen.

The so-called 'issue' you're raising here is the large screen.

Screens get larger and larger.

So we're still not looking backwards.

Back in the 1980s, they were bloody thick and heavy.

Today it's so thin and light. The thinnest iPhones ever made.

But it's too big.

But it's too big.

So bloody what?

Only you and a small minority are concerned. If you and your insignificant group hate it so much, then suck it up and jump ship. Nobody is forcing you to get it.

You have an option to choose. Since you chose the iPhone 6 over the 5s when you could've gone with the smaller one, why are you complaining then?

You realise you sound like a whiny 5-year old with that 'But it's too big' statement, don't you?

People like you are the clowns of the forum who give us a good laugh after a long day.

In your opinion they're too big. The fact that Apple is selling tens of millions of them says otherwise.

+1. You beat me to it before I could edit my comment and add this :D

yes, that may be true but what about the fact that they sold more 6/6+ this year compare to the 5 last year. and so far the 6/6+ is their best selling iPhone. so having that no. in their books, i don't think apple will consider another 4inch screen size iPhone.

No, I don't mean stop making a 4.7" and 5.5" and going back to just the 4"phone. I mean offering the 3 sizes. If you are not clear, try this analogy:

Mary: Plain crouton selling well.
Bill: Wow, garlic crouton and cinnamon crouton sell even better.
Mary: What if we offer all 3?
Bill: But we got the best year ever. Why would we change?

The chorus: we want plain crouton

People in the room: Ignore them. They are the minority.

If Apple came out with a 2 inch iPhone it would sell well. People will buy whatever comes out especially if it's the trend.

Why are you so snobby? My opinion is valuable. Very valuable. And I'm not in the minority.

I bought the 6 for the same reason EVERYONE does.

because it's the newest phone with all the bells and whistles. Not necessarily for the size. That's why I still have the 4 inch phones as backup.

If McDonalds stopped selling Cheesebugers, would the consequent increase in Hamburger sales be due to the company having correctly predicted consumer wants, or simply because many people like eating at McDonalds?

And all the tens of millions they sold prior to the 4.7+ screen size mean nothing, right? Besides, there was a lot of pent up demand for a larger iphone for years. So those jumping BACK to apple from android in this release. That represent a one time purchase that will decrease to some degree for the 6S. So if the 6S sells than than the 6 and 6+, are you going to acknowledge this?

Sadly, I think it's the jumbo size phones for a while. Hopefully my 5S hangs on for a good number of years.

I feel like the jumbo phones are a fad, a trend and something that will go away after a few years.

That is irrelevant because Apple didn't stop selling phones with a 4" screen. The larger 4.7" and 5.5" screens are still selling better.

The fact of the matter is that the 6/6+ are selling better than the 5c/5s did last year. People want phones with larger screens.

But they didn't update the phone.

think about it. If they had made a 4 inch iPhone 6, THAT would've been the best selling version.

Why is the 6 selling better than the plus?

More people would have bought it last year if it were so perfect. The 6/6+ are selling at a faster pace this year than the 5c/5s did last year. Small screen phones are old news. Too bad, so sad.

Deal with it.

4 inch screen left behind?

That is irrelevant because Apple didn't stop selling phones with a 4" screen.

What if Hamburgers were still available, but as a matter of policy were all beyond their serve-by time, lukewarm, and topped in defective gherkin slices?

Those were s versions of course. Not as many people wait for those

Android phones have always been big. It's still not a Note though. And it will never be a Note.

Just because one company is doing it doesn't make it the trend.

I guess we'll see what happens in the next couple years. I don't see a reason to release a updated 4" iPhone.

The iPhone 5 sold 5 million units on the opening weekend, whereas the 5s sold 9 million units in the same timeframe.

It doesn't matter though, you'll still continue making stuff up instead of basing your conclusions on actual facts.

In every review, the consensus on the new phones are well known. They avoid a case because they don't want the phone to become even harder to hold.

They prevent putting it in their pockets because it's too large and they don't want it to bend.

The 5s was just more classy.

To raise awareness. You never know WHO might be reading this. Anyone could read this, including journalists and Apple people.

And what do you think Apple will make of the many people here who are telling you that you are wrong and they don't want a 4" iphone?

Apple said 4 inches was the perfect size. Back when the iPhone 5 came out.

Apple in 2012: iPhone 5

"Anyone can make a larger smartphone display. But if you go large for large’s sake, you end up with a phone that feels oversize, awkward, and hard to use. iPhone 5 features a 4-inch display designed the right way: it’s bigger, but it’s the same width as iPhone 4S. So everything you’ve always done with one hand — typing on the keyboard, for instance — you can still do with one hand. On a larger canvas that lets you see more of every web page. More of your inbox. More events on your calendar. Even more apps on your Home screen."
