I've got high hopes right now, even though I'm in the May 13th group (XX:13).

I've been following the 42mm SS BSB thread and a ton of them got their orders filled on Friday while the loop group didn't make any progress. They went from XX:08 to most of XX:20.

It looks like Apple is making watch configurations in batches, which makes sense. Based on this google spreadsheet, BSB was the most popular choice for 42mm SS; milansese being the second.

I'm speculating that Apple did a production run to put together all of the 42mm SS watches they had with BSB at the same time because that was the most popular combination. Those flew out of China and made it to Louisville early Friday and are being delivered now.

Now I think it's milanese's turn! There are currently three UPS flights scheduled to go from Alaska to Louisville. I'm thinking these planes will be filled with other 42mm SS watches that aren't BSB. So we should see a TON of movement tomorrow morning.

I predict/hope that we'll make it past the XX:20 mark for our combination.

Nothing new to report from TX.

Really? I thought you'd have yours by now.

I am a 00:10:23 and I'm in the 4/24 - 5/8 batch. Is there a chance I won't get my watch by 5/8?

I must be dead last in that group then?

We are dead last in the 4/24-5/8 group as my confirmation time is xx:10:13. I called :apple: earlier today and was told that we WILL be receiving our watches no later than this Friday (most likely ON Friday at this rate). I'll be checking closely at this point as if Wednesday comes and there is not a status change I'll be calling and escalating it to someone who can give me answers at that point. They technically have until Thursday to ship to get the watches in our hands by Friday but if there is no activity by this time on Wednesday we're most likely not getting them within :apple:'s GUARANTEED delivery timeframe! That will be a huge problem in my book!

Holy crap!! Have you contacted :apple: yet? If so, what did they say? Any processing issues with your order? Where are you located if I may ask?

I'm in South Florida. (near Ft. Lauderdale).

I've contacted them several times, and I just get the stock answers. "I see nothing wrong with your order. You're still scheduled to receive on time" etc, etc. I ask why so many people who ordered the same configuration later than me already received theirs, I get nothing but empty apologies...

They have til Thursday night to get it out on time for overnight delivery in my window. But if my order is still stuck processing by then, and my 5/8 delivery is no longer possible, I'm just giving up and cancelling. This experience has killed my enthusiasm.

I'm curious where you see this delivery guarantee.

I see this: Delivers: 4/24-5/8 by Standard Shipping

I see no place on the site or my confirmation email that guarantees any delivery timeline. Perhaps I'm missing something.

I did the chat with apple this morning and I heard Friday is the deadline it must be delivered by but if not I'm calling by Saturday talking to a supervisor.

I had never looked at the seconds of my order confirmation, but it looks like I'm at xx:10:51

So, no, you are not last. :)

I'm confident I'll have mine this week.

It doesn't need to physically say "guaranteed" to imply a set delivery date. If it says delivers 4/24-5/8, that means "guaranteed" delivery no later than 5/8, barring any major issues. For all other Apple pre-orders it would say "delivers 4/24" which implies a guaranteed delivery on a specific date. Also, ACS confirmed that all deliveries need to be delivered by 5/8 for the first wave pre-orders within that date range.

Actually it does have to say guaranteed. What is stated there is in no way a guarantee. If that is how people want to interpret it, thats how they will interpret it.

I've been doing marketing for nearly 20 years and have dealt with items like this numerous times and in no way is what it is stating any sort of guarantee.

I know I'm not making any friends by saying this stuff. But people are making flat out assumptions not based on fact.

So if that's the case, then this is very misleading to their loyal customers. Why give a date or range if they're not going to live up to it? Then say "Delivery: Whenever" since that's more realistic. Pretty shady marketing on the the consumer end IMO.

I don't believe Apple means to do anything shady or dishonest. From what we've read with the taptic engine issues, I'm sure Apple has their hands full making hundreds of thousands/millions of watches at the last moment.

Has anyone with the 42 SS Milanese switched from processing to PFS today - (Mon, May 4)??

April 10th (Fri) 42mm SS Milanese ordered, XX:08am Confirmation email, 4/24 - 5/8 delivery window. Wisconsin.

April 22nd (Wed) @ 9:58pm CSR received EOD (Email of Death)

April 23 (Thu) through April 28th (Tue), much impatience and waiting.. Still no movement, still processing.

April 28th (Tue), Called Apple to "confirm" my order and inquire as to it's potential delivery date, CSR updates the name on my CC, CC is then authorized for full amount. Much premature happiness.

April 29th (Wed) - May 1st (Fri). Realize that CC authorization does NOT mean Preparing for Shipment is iminent, as was lead to believe by Apple rep.

May 2nd (Sat), sometime before 2:09pm CST, noticed my order is in Preparing for Shipment!

May 3rd (Sun) @ 4:37pm CST received email from Apple that "Your shipment is on its way" with tracking #. Tracking # not yet live on UPS site. Serial number now showing in supportprofile.apple.com. Delivers May 5, 2015.

May 4th (Mon) UPS has record of shipping label being created, shipment has not yet been picked up (as of 4:38pm CST) however UPS shows scheduled delivery date of May 5th.

It's been a long road, thanks to everyone who posted their progress, pain, frustration, and excitement throughout the process. I'll check in at least once more when I receive and have had my first look at my watch. I suppose after that I'll start trolling everyone who hasn't received their watch yet and tell them that they need to be patient, that Apple has done no wrong, etc... (just kidding) :D Best of luck to you all!

I totally get that but from what we've read the Taptic Engine issue was known by Apple since February. If it was such a huge issue the launch should have been delayed but since it wasn't and a delivery window was provided, they need to live up to that implied "guarantee". You don't quote a firm date or a delivery range if you're facing supply constraints due to a faulty part that was known well in advance of the April
24th launch. Just my two cents for what it's worth!

I think you're splitting hairs, larryinfl and ScardaNYC912. It is definitely not a guarantee in the legal sense. If they fail to meet the dates, there will be no financial penalty on them or anything of the sort (other than some cancelled orders, it sounds like :p ).

But they're still going to meet their non-guaranteed-but-stated-anyway dates to avoid the media *****torm that would ensue otherwise.

Agree with everything you just said atrophic. I know it's not a legal guarantee as no repercussions exist if the date isn't met but Apple does not like bad media and that will happen if they fail to meet the 5/8 date.

D'oh, I got censored. Does poopstorm work?

Yeah, I'd bet we'll all have ours by Wednesday, perhaps save for a couple stragglers with order-specific problems (such as rlj1010--can't imagine why they haven't gotten theirs yet).

I hope you're right! Is that your "guarantee" atrophic? Haha!!

Hopefully rlj1010 gets theirs soon. That's just a strange situation and a bit disconcerting.

Man, Apple is really making us sweat this one out! Looking back on the week leading up to launch and thinking it would arrive on the 4/24 seems crazy now

Not only does it seem crazy, but 4/24 seems like a lifetime ago.

Just FYI, even though I received a tracking number since Sunday, as of today, UPS still only show that the shipping label is created. No pick up, transit or other information that indicate I'll have it by tomorrow.
