42mm Space Grey May 13 - 27

Anyone still getting charges or status updates at this point? Nothing here yet.. 12:04:48 confirmation email
 
03:14:32 and nothing yet. I have a stainless steel right now, but would rather have the space guy in the return window. We will see what happens in the next few weeks.
 
how many peoples watches have shipped from this group? Thinking we might get some movement into next week.
 
My patience ran thin and I ordered a 42 white as well. Whichever ships first I'll keep. My money is on the white shipping quicker than my 4-6 week black.

I've been on the verge of doing this too, but the black on black is just sexy, like an any outfit watch, but the white does look really good too, I'll give you that.

That's a good idea if you can deal with that.

I don't mind waiting for the SG, but it's a wild card. No telling what kind of wait, and i'm leaving town.

I just wish I could count on two weeks, but there's nothing to indicate it's going to be less that a month.
 
My patience is running thin as well. I really need to read about more charges/preparing to ship so I know it isn't a long wait. My time is :05:59
 
The only sport watch I really like is the SG one. I don't mind waiting for the watch I want.
 
I have no doubt that they continue to move inventory over the weekends, though that might not be reflected in the tracking status since they wouldn't want that to be customer-facing.
 
I'm just a college kid, but for me, if I'm spending over $400 on a product it's going to be the one I want even if it means waiting a couple more weeks. What's a couple weeks anyways? I have final exams this week and it would just distract me, perhaps like the forum is, to have it before exams.

I'm at 1:04:55 and have nothing either. Seems like 15-25 seconds parted us from the first wave group.
 
Still no change in my May delivery date or credit card charge. (as of 0641 hrs PST, Saturday)

Ordered the 42mm at 0004 hrs PST, Los Agneles area.


BTW...Still no change in my 42mm black SS, ordered it right before the SGS. Delivery in "June."
 
There are some questions I have.

1) do they ship in batches or continuously?
2) why the two week gap between waves?
3) Are they building to order now? (adjusting the build distribution among colors/types)

I haven't a clue. I just can't recall specifics of the previous releases.

1) They likely ship pallets from China to the US. So they would need to wait for one to be full before shipping it, but that's not a huge wait.

2) It's not a 2 week gap, it's a delivery timeframe within a range of 2 weeks. That's just what they expect to reasonably deliver.

3) There's not really any "build to order", just a matter of putting the band in the box with the specific watch case. They would be doing that based on the number of orders per combination, but they're not specifically tracking a box with your order in it until it's already all put together.

But I was thinking about them maybe.....building more SG than other ones at this point :D

But they're just vague questions. Not concerned.

Yeah, they are probably doing that as well. They should have known to build more of them based on the pre-orders anyway. The SG (and SB) models would take longer to manufacture because the annodizing process is an extra step that the silver ones don't need to go through, so that could be adding to the delay.
