I think a few people have snuck through, but I went ahead and ordered a 38mm blue sport earlier just in case this ends up taking forever. With the prices they are going for on eBay, if my SG ever shows up I can sell the blue one and make my money back.

Is there any indication that watching these planes gives us any reliable information?

I'm not sure. It's not as immediate or obvious as an update after planes land. It seems to be that around 11, 2, or 5pm EST are when updates happen. My theory is this is some time after a plane lands and the watches are taken to whatever distribution center Apple is using.
In the past, we got a shipping update when the device left the factory in China. This is not the case now, and it throwing us off.
My uneducated opinion is our watches are likely sitting in South Korea right now. A lot of iPhones 6 got hung up in SK over the weekend after launch.
Apple is clearly originating scans from the US. No major data points are showing movement today, so I don't think we will see updates until Monday.
If I lied to you it would make you feel happier now, but in the long run you'd be more miserable.

I am confident it will be early, but the question is how much earlier? Hmm...

So the first wave went from :01 to about 20 seconds into :03 yet the second wave goes from :03 all the way to at least :35 is the latest I've seen.
That's a pretty large gap. I would think that anyone that got it in by :07 should get their watches before 5-13 but I'm just speculating and hoping from the perspective of someone who ordered at :05

Do you guys think it will be a bottleneck situation where all of a sudden a ton of these will ship or will it stay a trickle for the next month?

I don't know. It's *possible* if the charges originate overseas, where tomorrow is Monday.
I think our Monday is more likely.
have no fear guys, 4 more planes are en route to AK. Just because we won't get deliveries Sunday doesn't mean the planes stop flying. I feel like a lot of us (hopefully myself included 04:54) will start seeing some tracking numbers in the next 24 hours for a monday delivery.
