UPDATE:

xx:07:42
5/8/15
Charged 12:15pm EST
Changed to Preparing to Ship at 12:30pm

Received SHIPPED notice from Apple @ 4:37pm
UPS info online as of 6:00pm
Shipping from Harrisburg
Delivery scheduled for Monday 5/11

BTW... Like many of you, I was getting really impatient and "down" the last two days, and then all of a sudden at Noon today, it was CHRISTMAS!!

Hang in there, it's worth the wait!

Finally!

I was in the 3:04-7 est group and finally got shipped today. My question is, since it is friday, will i get my watch tomorrow saturday?

To those of you who received your watches today or yesterday (if you're still sticking around to laugh at us):

Could any of you check the manufacturing date based on your watch's serial number, please? You can use this site to decipher the serial number and get the week it was manufactured. I'm wondering if we can add some more spice to the speculation stew with this added bit of information.

Thanks!

Its really pathetic that apple couldn't even supply first hour of orders. Come on, really? It has come downt to all of us here measuring in minutes and seconds to see who might get their watch. Really not happy here.

Considering that they're delivering people in this thread's phones to them well before the date they were given when ordering, I'm not sure what there is to be unhappy about.

Well..the fact that the official release was April 24 and over 70% of the ppl who pre-ordered had their ship date pushed back 4-6 weeks.

Personally, I was a bit disappointed but what can we do.

So I requested my delivery to be held at a UPS Retail store since they are open on Saturday in the hopes that I can pick it up that day and not have to wait until Monday. We'll see if this works! It's coming from Harrisburg, PA and I'm in NJ so I have a good feeling that it will.

Please let us know if that works. I was thinking about doing that. But is not up to the UPS store. I think they distribution center just don't ship them on Saturdays. So there will be no movements. I think the UPS store is just like it is being deliver to your house.

----------

If my watch shipped today and it's next day air, wouldn't it be delivered by tomorrow?

Only busininess days count. Monday thru Friday.

My tracking info page just updated and it's still scheduled for a Monday delivery so it looks like it won't make a difference if you hold it at a UPS Retail store. I'll update if I hear anything else tomorrow.

Just remember that when it gets sent to the UPS Store it's like having it delivered to your residence. There's no telling when it will show up there on your delivery date. It doesn't help you get it faster unless you would not be home to accept the delivery.

I completely understand those of you who are feeling really upset and impatient, but you have to understand, if you're in this thread and beyond xx:10, you're just hurting yourself. I didn't start looking at this thread until maybe Tuesday? And my watch was shipped today.

I wasn't really bothered by the delay until I started checking this thread. Seeing other people get it and I wasn't, or seeing the glacial progress from xx:06 to xx:07... it's torture. This is the very definition of a watched pot.

As far as I know, no one here has had their shipment delayed past what Apple initially promised. This thread is for the May 13 - 27 crowd. Some of us are getting it earlier, but my watch should be here on 5/11, just two days before the (admittedly large) window.

I hope everyone gets theirs well before 5/27, but I'm sure all of our orders are will be fulfilled by the 27th, for sure. Apple is struggling to meet the demand (and have been plagued by bad parts) on the most popular SKU (all of us here know it to be the superior one! ;)), but I'm sure we'll get them within the window we were promised.

(Of course, this is really easy for me to say, having had mine ship, and of course this weekend will be torture...)

I'm actually worried some of us are building up the watch to be something more than we should. I have been using a Pebble since it launched (and talk about delayed product!), and I love smart watches, but I don't think it'll change your life in any fundamental way. It's a great extension of the phone, but that's all it is. Not iPhone or iPad level revolutions.

Anyway, see you guys for the Apple Watch 2 launch next year!

Yeah I realize that now. Just requested it be sent back to my house.

So wouldn't I be able to pick it up from a UPS store then?

You can. But it will be the same as getting at home. Scheduled delivery date wise.

I can see it being helpful to get it shipped to the UPS store if the UPS truck usually gets to your house really late. They probably have a different route and schedule to get stuff delivered to the UPS stores versus the residence addresses.
For me probably won't make a difference since they come to my house early. Unless I don't feel safe my watch sitting on my front porch while I'm at work.

Well it will only sit there if you "pre-sign" for it on the order page. Otherwise it requires a signature upon delivery.

Does anyone know if the sport watch box will fit in a long wall mounted mailbox? Just wondering if I want to pre-sign, if the box will fit in there or will be visible sitting on my deck.

Pretty sure UPS isn't allowed to use a mailbox (USPS-only, assuming you're in the U.S.)

XX:07:33. Charged today at 2pm. Shipped for delivery on Monday! I tried getting it shipped to a UPS store but it moved delivery to tues for me. Mines coming out of Harrisburg, PA and I live in Pittsburgh. Wish I could pick it up tomorrow at the hub that it's going to sit in all weekend.

I live 20min from my hub here in Sacramento. Would be nice, but what better way to combat the Monday blues than get a new watch?

Yea. I pre-signed. But don't know if I want it sitting there for a few hours until I come back from work.
