I was looking back to last week and it seems as though the charges are pretty much in line with what happened then. If that's true then we could see a wave sometime Friday at around noon. I have no idea if that will be true but it's a potential pattern.

Dear everyone,

If you have not received your watch within or before the time window set in your original order confirmation (or update email), you may have a sane and logical reason to be upset with this new product rollout.

If you are upset with Apple because you have not received your watch within your delivery window (or before for that matter), then you need to reset your expectations and chill out. We are on DAY TWO of the second wave. It really doesn't matter when you get charged or when you get a shipment email or what UPS says.

The only promise that Apple has made is in your order delivery window and I haven't read a single post here or on reddit where someone who ordered a space grey sport has had to wait beyond their delivery window.

Thank you.

xx:12 order here. No idea on the seconds (doesn't really matter anyway). I'm anticipating receiving the watch early next week based on the patterns. Perhaps I'll get charged today or tomorrow.

Seems like Apple has settled into batches of shipments every 2-3 days, similar to past iPhone launches. I just missed the last wave so the next should include me (though not for sure since there are always a few people left out).

Sorry buddy, but nope. When your delivery window is 2+ months after a preorder, there is plenty to be damn mad about. But go on, keep forgiving Apple for this absolutely stellar and extremely well planned rollout. You're sure to make tons of friends here!

What was your order's promised delivery time?

I don't get the people that drop into these threads just to scold everyone ... most of us who are patiently waiting, more or less.

Without consumer support Apple simply ceases to exist. Period.

There is no " don't get upset because it's been six weeks since you placed your order"

There is ONLY customer satisfaction, there is ONLY exactly what I want. That is all that matters in this equation, and as soon as Apple , Cook, and Arendts forget that they are bye bye

What was your order's promised delivery time?

The point is not promised date! Everyone knows that Apple Watch launch was a huge disappointment. If you cant fill the first hour of orders, then you are not ready to launch the product. I cant start a hot dog stand with pack of hot dogs and tell people that are waiting and paid for to come back in a month and I will have them. Another thing, they need to treat their customers better. Tim Cook should go out public (create a video), and post it on the website and explain why they are so behind so people would feel better. Give customers more information.

FYI this is the Apple watch junkie support group forum. We share status updates, and occasionally fits if rage. We try not to direct them at any one individual when possible.

#1 Never a good idea to tell others how to think and what they can and can't be upset about
#2 If nothing matters on shipping info or when you get charged, then why are you trolling this thread?
#4 The idea that Apple is delivering within the stated window 4-6 weeks after launch as known to customers only after midnight on launch day, does not mean that the rollout is clean and acceptable. Apple has never launched a product this tight on inventory before and they did not do a good job of communicating to anyone, including their own retail Apple store staff, of how severe the supply constraint was.

I have my watch, I didn't care that it took two weeks, I don't hold any animosity towards Apple aside from the belief that their communication was disorganized at launch. But, I certainly understand anyone else who does have a beef and wants to use an internet forum like this to share their issues with other fellow Apple fanatics.

Technically you're not an Apple Watch consumer if you haven't paid for it yet...

It's all about expectations, people. If you preordered a watch expecting it to be delivered on launch day, you have set your expectation. If Apple sends you an order confirmation showing a delivery on launch day, they have confirmed your expectation. If the email shows delivery, say, between 5/13 - 5/27 then they have RESET EXPECTATIONS. If you do not acknowledge this new expectation in your own mind, then only you are at fault.

If you order a bar of soap from Amazon and select next day air shipping, but start complaining 30 minutes after you order because the soap isn't here yet, you need to reset your expectations. Also you are an idiot. The only difference here is that we didn't get to pick our delivery method/window, Apple did.

They're not behind. So far the deliveries are meeting or exceeding expectations outlined in the order confirmations. If anything, Apple is ahead of schedule with this launch.

I graduated

Today is the day for me. Once the shipping status flips it seems to run through the funnel quickly to delivery

42mm Space Gray
xx:08:32
Window: 5/13-5/27
CC Charged: 5/12 12:40am EST
Status Change to Preparing for Shipment: 5/12 12:50am EST
Tracking Number Activated: 5/13 6:43 pm EST
UPS Delivery Estimate: 5/14 by 3:00pm EST
UPS Out for Delivery: 5/14 6:50am EST

I just took delivery of my SG 42mm watch. I ordered this 8 min into the preorder over a month ago and I can finally graduate from this thread, as it has consumed a lot of my time. I was close to canceling many times but so glad that I didn't! Hang in there guys it is so worth the wait!! Oh and it is working with full tattoos on either wrist too, I'm lucky :D

Then don't tell me how to think and that I can't be upset with people being upset with Apple? Congrats on the watch though. How is it so far?

Also, how could this not be clean and acceptable?? How did they fail to communicate with the delivery times in the confirmation emails? Most people received their confirmation emails within minutes of ordering. The problem so far has been the failure of those people to reset expectations. They had some prethought level of satisfaction and tight timeframe in their minds before they ordered. Turns out if you snooze (or have internet/store problems) you lose and have to wait a bit. This is not new.

Anybody have any thoughts on the reason for the huge burst one day and then (seemingly quiet) for a few days, then another burst?

It seems that, if the watches are rolling off an assembly line at a regular rate, then there would be a fairly constant number of charges each day. Or is it possible that it takes a few days to get enough watches off the line to fill up a shipment bound for the US?

I readily admit I have no direct experience in manufacturing and assembly lines, so I am only speculating.

Now I get to put on the other hat.

No, not everyone knows this launch is a huge disappointment. Only certain Apple early adopters think that, but for the most part, aside from a bit of confusion and acknowledgement that this is a rollout different from any other Apple has done, the mainstream press which is where 99.5% of the general public gets their information about Apple has been pretty kind.

I do agree that communication leading up to the launch could have been clearer. However, they did note their would be supply constraints at launch and we did know the product wouldn't be in stores by the time pre-orders were taken. The NY Times story about the broken haptic engine causing a back up likely couldn't have been provided by anyone else but Apple.

I'm really not sure what the point of a Tim Cook video would be now? What good would it do. Since 4/10, it was widely known it would take months to catch up with demand.

In my opinion, the best way to punish Apple for a perceived problem of theirs is to not buy the product. That's what will hit Apple where it counts. Otherwise, Apple can handle pissing off a few of their hardcore fans who they know will keep buying no matter what.

Ahead? LOL! And your Amazon comparison doesn't have any similarity with this case. Next day shipping is reasonable. Month to Month and half is not.

Yes, they're ahead seeing that many people received their watches before their shipping window. That was more early on, but now it's all on time.

My comparison to Amazon is about what you expect, not the actual time to ship. It's an analogy not a direct comparison.

Ummmm.....ragberry, I think you missed his (valid) point. Although you are right, Apple is within the delivery window, what he (and so many....myself included) are unhappy about is the fact that supply was underwhelmingly limited (if existent) prior to launch. The fact is, the watch "launched" about 21 days ago and they have yet to fulfill all of the pre-orders that were initiated in the first 12 mins of preorder window (to which was 2 weeks prior to "launch"). So yeah, it is true we cannot say that Apple lied about delivery times, but we can damn sure be unhappy about the AMOUNT of time it has taken for delivery to take place for an order that took place 34 days(ish) ago.

Is it Apple's fault? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps the delays were due to the previously mentioned quality control issues with the haptic engines. I get that. I accept that. Could this issue been identified in the previous 7 months from the reveal? Maybe, maybe not. Could Apple have ramped up production a bit sooner than yesterday morning (yeah, I'm being mean about that one...lol)? Maybe, maybe not.

Perhaps much of the anxiety would not be evident today had there been a bit more communication from Apple on the launch, potential delays (and why). I'm not necessarily pointing fingers at them. I am sure, however, that Apple has learned a lot from this, and that the lessons learned can be utilized for more successful (and less stressful) launches in the future.

Current anxiety is born out of excitement to receive this watch. We all know of Apple quality and engineering. Yet, to YOUR point, we also have to understand Apple has never, ever, had enough product to fulfill demand on launch day.

<steps off pedestal> We may all now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

I never said I was an Apple Watch consumer. I said I was an Apple consumer.

Those are Apples expectations, not mine. My expectation was that they give me a window and then get their act together and beat that expectation to keep their customers happy.

You apparently have different expectations then I do, and that's ok. I personally feel that your acceptance of adjusted expectations means that you have sold yourself short, or you expect others to.

We must to be very careful how we treat the peasants, lest there be an uprising the likes of which is beyond our control.

I really enjoy the quality of Apple products and how they make them available to their consumers. If they begin to fail MY expectations, then I will seek another source of tech that values the expectations of their consumer
