Congrats though! Enjoy it for us! :D

I know most want this "beaten dead horse" to stay dead but does anyone know how many SG 42 watches were sold? I don't and you don't and it may turn out the reality is that the number could be staggering. We will likely find out at the Keynote of WWDC how many have been sold. Sometimes you launch something and hit it out of the park farther than you wildest dreams.

The other thing that gets forgotten is the 3rd party supplier of the Taptic Engine had a huge failure rate early on. Who knows how many watches that had been assembled had to be reworked before they could be shipped. Huge time delay.

Oh I have no doubt the SGS 42's were sold in high volumes. However, look at other threads. There are some models that are shipping just as poorly. What about the bands? How is that explained? Many of the solo bands have either not shipped, or just started. Hard to argue this was a poor launch, or at best some major issues. I'm not arguing against your point at all. In fact, I believe we both mentioned the same in regards to the taptic engines being a major issue that delayed things. But, my point I feel is still valid that this will go down as one of their most challenging launches. Still, as stated earlier, I feel Apple has or will learn from this launch and carry those lessons into future launches.

But still, the fact that many are upset I feel is still rooted in the anxiety of wanting to receive a product they (we) are all excited about.

Launch was a mess. A perfect storm type mess. I don't think that could be easily disputed. But without passionate consumers like us wanting these products right away.....well, in some ways this shows the power of their products, and brand. We expect the best. So in a way, any negativity expressed by myself, you, or others further illustrates that.

I refuse to be the idiot though that gets on a soap box and proclaims this means the end of days is upon us because we have not received our order. It's just a damn watch. Albeit a damn watch I want now. Lol.

So someone posted some pictures up in the Accessories section of theirs that they received. It looked pretty good with some issues with the adapter being a different color than the watch and the gap between the watch and the band seemed too big. Also the band itself seemed ok, but not $120 quality. I would have probably still been ok with it, but then I found out that guy posting the pictures had ordered from Amazon a week ago and I preordered on the website 3 weeks ago without it shipping yet. That, along with my questioning the quality for its cost, is what made me cancel.

I've found some other nice standalone bands (although none that I'm really in love with) that if a good adapter comes out I could possibly get one and use that. In the meantime, I ended up ordering the black leather loop as it looked really good with SGS when I tried the combo at the Apple store.

Ah, gotcha. Thank you for the follow up. I will follow your lead and wait it out a bit then. Glad I asked. I was about to pull the trigger on one of them. I'll continue to wait and hear more reviews and feedback once other bands have been in play. So far? The first ones out of the gate have not been overwhelmingly favorable. Probably too much guesswork went into design due to the fact mfg HAD to guess at certain specs.

The AppleCare + for my 42mm SG BSB was just charged.

When they charged AppleCare for the other watch on my order, they charged the watch moments later.

They have charged me for AppleCare on my order off and on. This makes the third time. I ordereded the 42mm BSB on April 30 with June ship date. It's only a pre-authorization but I wish it would charge lol. I would like for them to charge me for the whole order and I would immediately pay my credit card bill for it. But, we should fill fortunate, we can order an Apple watch and pay for it. Most of the world is wondering where their next meal will come from and we are concerned about getting a watch early. Think about it, first world problems. It will come in due time, the wait is part of the fun, if it was here today we would be tired of it in a week. The journey of receiving it is part of the fun. In a few months we will be doing this again with the next iPhone, but hopefully it will get here quicker and we'll enjoy the ride together more. I've done this since the iPhone 3G, the waiting is part of the experience (-;

*starts refreshing frenetically my Wells Fargo account*

Between refreshing Bank Of America, my apple store 'PROCESSING' page, and these forums, I am driving myself crazy. There are times I refresh a page twice because I feel like safari may have not actually reloaded the page. Yes, I know...we all are slowing being driven insane by this wait and hope for our watch..... But, Good things come to those who wait...and wait...and wait...and, you get the picture :)

With the new anticipation of a new wave due to the airplane arrival and my order being a XX:12:02 I shall start playing Schrödinger's CC charge.

I'll log into my bank account and as soon as I hit login, I'll minimize the tab and come back to the forum and see what's going on. As soon as I see other people posting they've been charged I'll try to open the tab again because up to this point I could be charged and I could be not.

It is a dumb game; but it is thrilling and psychological.

From someone who waited to someone who is still waiting I feel your pain!

We all succumbed to the belief that by some miracle Apple would miraculously beat the estimates they first gave us. Sad for us but true Apple actually does know precisely what their supply chain can do. They provide a date and (in my case at a min) meet it.

For the rest you day will come and the good news is that in under 2 weeks you will all be wearing your watch. I hope you love it! I am quite happy with mine and am busy learning how to do more (or really less) with it.

Enjoy it! When did you order it?

I think my email came through at 3:11am (eastern time). I was constantly refreshing the Apple Store site, but I saw that the app updated first. Guess it wouldn't have mattered and I would've had to wait about this long anyway, with this model being hands down the most wanted configuration of the Watch.

So far it's really great! Especially for an Apple 1st generation product. I'll follow up with more posts after I use it for another day or two. After only about six hours of use, I could see this being an entire iPhone replacement within five to ten years (of both updated hardware models and software). <-- More thoughts on that later.

Unfortunately I think Apple is about to piss everyone off and start selling them in the store. Planes are coming but nobody has been charged, I believe they are building up their store stock and that infuriates me.
