I believe the slow down here is because Apple was doing a push on the First Steel Black Watch deliveries, since those are far behind 42mm SG. Hence, a big push was to get the 42mm BS out for their first deliveries. Hopefully we will pick up this weekend, otherwise it will be next week
I remember standing in line for the first iPhone, it was long lines that seemed never ending but it certainly beats this tortorous wait. At least then, once the store supply was out, that's it, you had to wait for the next shipment which was no more than a week.

Not a chance that will happen before they have satisfied preorders.
Possible that models where pre-orders have been completed could start showing in store before all pr-orders are filled but no way for a model with pre-orders pending. They are a business and you don't build inventory when you have orders in hand.
I tend to agree except for the fact that the Watch is available at retail already (albeit in very limited outlets)
Hopefully they do the biggest wave that knocks out the entire first hour of pre orders, would be nice.
What ? Lol there is a flight in the air now, and two more to depart within 2 hours. As the days goes on probably 3 or 4 more will head out as well on their way to Anchorage. Sunday is when they do not fly.

This should help those who had the June shipping time frame, but it has not helped those of us in this shipping time frame. At least we should get our watches in the time frame promised.

I agree.... I spoke with the Apple Executive Team due to my dissatisfaction with the way the launch was handled. It was explained to me that Apple agreed to ship the watch in 4 - 6 weeks from my order date, so I feel while I am seriously dissatisfied with Apple and the way they launched the product I really have no complaint until 05/22/2015 at 03:15:12, that is the date and time 6 week window expires and that is when I will start to push hard.
Apple has to know how many of their diehard customers are getting upset; apparently the comment that was made that they are trying to beat the ship dates was more of a publicity statement then a directive because their is no evidence that they are even trying. Furthermore every time you contact Apple you get the scripted answer that your product will be delivered between May 13 and May 27, even though May 13 has already passed.
Like I said I am upset but I know what my ship date was at the time of order, I am currently waiting to buy the new MacBooks I need/want, when I contact Apple about my Watch order they look at my cart and ask if they can help me finish the order I keep telling them the order will be finished when they are an in stock item and not before, I tell them it is not worth the aggravation of watching and waiting for the 800 pound gorilla to decide when the product will be sent.
The flights that I thought came out of China where from the Shzez or what ever the code was I did not see any flights from there

This seems to be the wrong thread for you. This is for people who had the 42mm Space Grey in the May 13 - 27 shipping window.
I just got that exact same update on the exact same watch but I didn't order until April 30th. Surely yours will get to you sooner.
