More reasons why the quantities of watches have been so small.

http://www.patentlyapple.com/patent...-the-apple-watch-is-now-flying-full-tilt.html

This should help those who had the June shipping time frame, but it has not helped those of us in this shipping time frame. At least we should get our watches in the time frame promised.

I must say it again feels like a failed apple launch these things should have been taken into consideration. Maybe a May launch would have worked better. I know I sound like a cry baby but I would rather a launch a month later than watching 1-10% of orders fulfilled and the other 90% people sitting around frustrated like myself. And yes I did see the May 13-27 eta but I have never wanted an apple device and not had it on launch day. If I couldn't get in via preorder I knew I would get it line waiting. It feels as if apple didn't have the line option because of lack of product.

It seems to be the opposite...90% of orders being fulfilled while 1-10% of people are sitting around frustrated. The other sport watches were shipped within launch week, even ones ordered after the launch. Most of the stainless steel models also shipped. The only ones that I know about being held up are our Space Grays, the Modern Buckles and the Space Blacks. Granted, the Space Grays are probably the most popular, but it's hardly "90%" of the orders. The other delayed models are probably among the smallest group as they were very expensive.

Is there any reason to keep checking the Apple or CC sites during the day? It seems like everything happens after about 11pm eastern time.

My watch has finally changed to "Perparing for shipment" over night. I was charged on Tuesday night and stay in "Processing" for 2 days. I guess I will be receiving it Monday? Also I live in Seattle, WA and ordered xx:11:14. No ups info yet.

Oh, you would be hard pressed to convince folks that 90% of orders have been filled....... I doubt 90% of orders from April 10th have been filled when you factor in the 42mm variants of Sport, AW, and AW Editions together. I agree with you that I feel certain more than 10% have been filled, by doubtedly much more than that. I don't have numbers, I don't have conclusive data, but I would bet on it. Too many other similar woes expressed in other threads for precisely the same reasons.

Even with yield and haptic engine issues that came up late in the process (which, I am appreciative in the delayed shipment if that meant I am getting a product that had to be held up to have better quality....), this doesn't even touch that many of the watch BANDS have not even been fulfilled.

However, demand for the AW variants is not going to be as an arcane as early estimates of 60 million. Published reports (if it's on the interwebs, it HAS to be true, right?) indicate Apple will most likely sell WAY less than that this year. Hopefully this means that shortly others that wish to order as we did, will not have the wait times we are experiencing. I sound like a broken record with my posts, but I believe it to be true from my (and many others') perspective that this has been one of the most challenging launches for Apple. However, I am sure many lessons were learned by both Apple and consumers on this product launch. Lesson 1 for Apple, make sure you will have quantity/quality to fulfill at LEAST the first hour's worth of anticipated pre-orders on launch day. Lesson 1 learned for consumers and Apple fans such as myself? Have different expectations of Apple in general (except for when it comes to quality).

Based on your post, I just logged in and saw that my ETA changed as well. I don't get it though. I ordered at noon on 4/16, and I have the same ETA as you do. Bummer! Was hoping that ordering 6 days after the 10th would get it to me in early June, not late June. I do find it funny that it reads "Available to Ship: 5-6 weeks". That's from today...NOT from the day I ordered. It should show 8-9 weeks from the 24th. I think they are "spinning" the news a bit. Haha. Maybe it'll show up early.

My order is on April 11th and I have the same time frame as you guys have. This is weird.

Still processing .... xx:12:33

I'm enjoying this wait so much, that when someone from xx:12:20 says that their watch is now 'preparing for shipment', I'll cancel and re-order. I'm a masochist like that. :)

I saw my first Apple watch in the wild yesterday in traffic, it was a 38mm space grey and the guy had to show it off. Can't wait to get my 42mm SGB;

Great post! Thanks for your input and voice.

That is strange. Apple expects to ship two weeks worth of orders, including the 2nd day preorders were being taken, within a one week window. Maybe they are under promising and over delivering.

I think I would like to see this guys order. I think he might be talking about the end of June order time frame.

I can not see how they are going to get through six hours when they have not gotten through 12 minutes.

i don't have exact numbers but thats a no go lol. i wanna say 50-60% of apple watch orders was apple watch sport bsb 38mm and 42mm. there are people this week just seeing models cool out the first time EVER http://9to5mac.com/2015/05/14/first...ple-watches-arriving-hands-on-photos-gallery/

I can not see how they are going to get through six hours when they have not gotten through 12 minutes.

Because my bet is that most of the orders (>50%) were done in the first 15-20 minutes.

I bet the numbers of orders dropped significantly after this time, when people saw that they wouldn't get their watches until June or July. Why pre-order then? Just wait until they're in the stores.

I thought there were more flights, but now I see as you say that they are mostly from Korea and Japan. Looks like we won't have movement until next week. :(
