Not sure I follow the argument of "if you are tired of waiting, cancel and wait some more"...

But I think I know where you are going with that. I think perhaps what you are overlooking in that sentiment is the thrill of ordering, and receiving expeditiously. So yes, if they would have been able to build up a larger stock and fulfilled orders faster by delaying pre-orders and launch a few weeks, the initial excitement would not have lapsed between order and receive time.

Easy to condemn someone else's point of view when you are on the other side and have your watch.... I am glad you have it, and that you enjoy it. Hopefully the rest of us can enjoy it soon as well!

Ok, now that I have smacked a broom handle over your shoulder, I will offer a pat on the back to your other point of "Life's too short to get this worked up over something you don't need even if you want it.".... Amen brutha. Though many may argue this point, I think we all would be hard pressed to say this watch was a "need". We all just want that pretty new gadget with the Apple stamp on it. And we want it NOW! Lol.
I knew I was stirring the pot a bit but here's what I was saying.

In this thread where the focus is 2 weeks of deliveries from May 13 - 27. There are people who albeit thought when they ordered, a Watch would immediately follow, are angry that Apple is meeting the day they promised when you ordered.

Yet there are those who are less than 2 weeks from receiving their Watch who are suggesting Apple should have built stock and launched in July.

I am quite confident that no one who hs posted that suggestion will be saying the same thing in another 12 days.

So I'll be traveling next week starting Tuesday and have a XX:13:57 order time. Really starting to consider changing my shipping address to where I'll be traveling to since I'm now doubting me getting my watch for Monday.

The question is: How difficult or possible is it to change shipping address if it reaches "Preparing for Shipment" stage? Should I just do it now and loose any chance of receiving it this Monday? Or should I wait to see if I get charged tonight or tomorrow and get an actual estimated delivery date?

This has been my main concern with this pre-order...the estimated delivery date ranges are insanely wide. It's hard to plan around work and travel when you get basically one days notice of it's arrival.

Frac, brother... It looks like you're gonna have to bite the bullet on this one and change the shipping address sooner rather than later. I'm not feeling like we'll be happy this weekend.

In 12 days we will all have our SGs or at least out of our OCD misery as this forum expires. Hang in there, kids!

Natural progression of posts here on this thread from any given user:
1. "This sucks, why is Apple making us wait so long, this launch is a disaster. Apple Sucks"

2. "Woot, I just got charged! Yipeee"

3. "Got my watch, this is awesome. Apple Rocks"

Yeah pretty much

I used to moderate a message board gear towards 1/2inch action figures
man the arguments people used to get into over a "doll" were epic and stupid

I'm not a CSI genius like some of you, but here's the intel so you can make out things. I don't even know when week 19 was, but it has to be in the last 15 days definitely.

Week 19 is May 4-10 from what I can tell.

I thought about it and made the ship-to change. We will have this damn thing soon enough! I can taste it.

Good , no wave of shipments in 3 days

And now no posts on this thread.

I can only troll through the search "Apple watch" on google, hit the news tab, more, sort by date , so much.....

No conspiracy theories? No late Friday credit card charges ??? Give me something !!!!

You are making some pretty big leaps in assumptions as to what that activity means... Why would it turn on and activate during the shipping process? I have no idea what those dates mean, but don't think you do either.

Here is my History:
4/27: Activity bars shown, but zero activity
4/28: Activity bars shown, zero activity

5/6: Activity bars shown, zero activity
5/7: Watch received

Here is my Theory:
4/27: Tested in Production
4/28: Tested in Production

5/6: Turned on during import customs inspection.
5/7: Delivered

Assuming it's turned on at customs inspection is a pretty big leap of faith, considering these things are sealed in china.

Yeah I think it's pretty standard to let newly minted electronics run for a period of time before boxing them for final distribution. They likely catch a number of defects in this manner.

----------

This may also account for the half charge the watches reportedly arrive with.

Hmmm, mine came with 86% power.

After Tuesday's big wave, as a XX:12er I thought a Monday delivery was a reasonable expectation... #

Still think my theory that Apple is about to sell them in the stores is true. They are screwing us to sell to the people who didn't stay up all night. I just want to call them and ask wtf they are doing? If it was "another manufacturing issue" they would've released another press release saying so.

That makes two of us, I am at XX:13:38.

Well,This replaces my last apple waiting game... I was in line just a little over 8 hours when I got my first iPhone. But that time went pretty fast because I was at the mall in Charlotte NC and was able to people watch and made many new friends during the day as the line slowly moved. I can't wait to look back on this experience and laugh at how crazy I was refreshing this forum page and my apple store account page all during the weeks since release. Memories :)

I preordered two at a xx:04 and xx:14 with a 5/13-5/27, and I canceled one of them thinking it didn't matter which one since delivery window was the same, so imagine how I feel...

But I think since there hasn't been any movement for the past few days, there may be a big shipment coming that can fill at least up to xx:15-xx:20.

I don't think they're looking to sell in-stores until at least July. I can see Tim coming out on WWDC stating how pleased he is with the watch sales blah blah blah, and how "Apple will start selling watches in stores on July xx" with thunderous applause from the audience.
