Everyone needs to hang in there for few more hours and lets see what tomorrow brings us. I think it will be a good day after nothing happened for few days.

really they literally have only 5 days to fulfill every order for 27 may window from now.......challenge......

It dawned on me recently that the space grey sport is one of the most popular models, but is also one of the models with the least profit margin.

The stainless versions cost about twice as much and cost nearly the same to make.

What's the incentive to prioritize the SGS?

The silver sport models have one less step because they don't require the anodizing. Easier faster and cheaper.

I honestly do not understand what is going on. Literally no one has seen anything move? Wtf!?!?

If it's discovered that this lull is related to Apple setting aside stock for stores, people are going to come unglued.

I have no idea how that helps Apple and why anyone thinks that makes sense.

They only get money when they sell a watch.
Holding a watch in inventory so they can sell it in a store just delays revenue and alienates the early adopters.

So, they get the same amount of money while aggravating the loyal customers - that makes no sense.

Wow, all day working and I get done, get home, log on, and what do I expect to find?!? NOT THIS!!!

I can't believe 6 days.

And for everyone talking about how this is a demand issue and not a supply/logistics issue that Apple wasn't prepared for, I bring your attention to the new MacBook. It took almost a month to get a Gold one I ordered on launch day. They are having the same (though be it not as bad) issues filling that new product launch too. This does not look good on Mr. Cook with 2 bad simultaneous launches of new products for the first time under his command.

Every Sunday when I go in to work, everyone asks me about my Watch I'm waiting on. Today, I will admit I was pretty sour about it.

I NEED to see some movement tomorrow. I don't think my will can take much more silence...

It would make sense as when they complete the pre-orders (assuming this is the plan) and open up in store purchase, they want to have it happen seamlessly and immediately I would imagine. If they waited until all pre-orders were shipped it'd be another month at this rate until they could stock their stores. I don't think Apple is worried about the delay in revenue for these watches if they get their system of switching to in store down right, it will pay off.

I'm hoping we all wake up tomorrow with a "Your order is out for delivery" notification.

Appreciate the optimism but we all know thats not happening...

The simple answer is money. It may have a lower profit margin, but the margin isn't zero. And with everyone already having submitted payment information, it is money simply waiting to be collected.

It is the same reason, in my opinion, that Apple will not provide in-store inventory prior to completing pre-orders. Why would they put inventory in stores for possible sales when they can ship the pre-orders and have guaranteed sales.

I disagree. They already have sales to the hardcore fans, who will wait months for their watches. But the stores can get those walk-in impulse buys from people who aren't willing to wait days, much less months. The sooner it is in stores, the more sales they will get IMHO.

Welcome to the new era. We have all joined the apple kickstarter project experiment.

The natives sure are restless aren't they?

You said it about perfect. Anyone running any sort of business knows you do not build inventory (=costs you money) when you have customers lined up ready to pay for the inventory (=money in your bank account).

No way, no how is Apple stocking stores with pre-launch orders pending.

Wow. Drama much? You re waiting for a Watch and a Computer. The Watch is kind of new and the Computer is just another computer. The sun rises tomorrow.

You need to stop hovering here and get on with some real life outside of a forum where impatient spoiled people rant about a toy they don't have yet. Some even act like Apple owes them something special. Yes, I was one of them and realized how inane it really is.

Your watch will almost certainly arrive in the promised window. Raving here about your "needs" (Translation = "wants") won't change anything.

It's Monday here on the East Coast. If you would have told me, we would be at day 6 without a surge of charges, I'd have laughed at you. I'm really surprised that it's been nearly a week.

This I agree with! A longer lull than I expected but surely something will happen soon for you guys.

Wow.... you sure have turned in to an a-s-s with your comments to people lately.

I don't have any negative feelings or resentment towards Apple so you are completely misreading what I've been saying. In fact most of my posts are joking and playing around in anticipation of being able to finally have my cool new toy I've been waiting on. Does it suck not having it yet. Yeah. Will I live? Of course.

I simply pointed out about the MacBook as an example that no one mentioned and how there are still delayed ship dates on that new product too.

You have your watch. Please move on if you don't have anything productive to add to the conversation. You're newfound disrespect on here is deplorable.

Oh, I'm glad you read it because I didn't. Just wondering.

You're welcome

The article doesn't mention the dates of the lunar new year , but I have a friend that is currently back home in China visiting his family and his wife's family. They recently got married. He told me and I felt like an idiot because after reading the article I was under the impression the lunar new year was a current event. Even though in the back of my mind I knew Chinese New Year was shorty after regular new year.
