Just got a delivery date.... 5/29 - 6/11

Ordered at 6:00AM CST of the evening of the pre-order

Now I'm constantly refreshing UPS to see them actually get the package so I can call and have them hold it at the customer center.

Norman Mclean was haunted by rivers. I'm haunted by a refresh button.

Status non-update

I thought I'd join in to help pass the time...

42mm SG
Order confirmation: XX:06.07
EOD (none)
CC charge : none
Available to ship: May 15-27
Ships to NC USA

I saw another users XX:06 order got charged and I was full of hope! Checked my CC and nothing...

The wait continues...

I can confirm that the Apple watch has a negative effect on my iPhones battery life. Specifically the number of times I open my phone to check my status, check my cc Bill, and check the forum boards has dramatically decreased my iPhones battery life compared to what it was a mere 17 days ago.

lol

With a plane arriving in Ankorage within the next hour, should we expect some status changes soon after?

I don't think the planes have anything to do with it. If they did, our tracking information would be starting in China.

I think the watches and bands are being shipped from China to a distribution center in the US where the watches are matched with their bands. One that's done, we get billed.

Confirmed, down to 87% and it's only 830am where I am lol.

Being the dork that I am, I went through all of UPS's global logistics sales options.. It appears that Apple is using UPS Worldship - which describes exactly what we are all experiencing.. UPS Worldship encompasses Shipping/Customs/Distribution. The way it works is, that orders are palatized in Asia and shipped as "One Shipment" to USA (or other countries.) Once they clear customs, the pre-labeled packages are then broken up and entered into the UPS network individually. Your cards get charged after the items clear customs. Your shipment notifications happen once the package hits Kentucky. You can track it by reference after you are billed but the delay is UPS system updates... Their system is intergrated in with Apples.

so I decided to order a 42 MM blue sport yesterday based on the wait for the SG and it said Available to Ship in June...now in my orders it says 2-3 weeks :) 5/14-5/20

gonna see which one ships first

So this is why you don't get tracking from Asia. They are labeled in Asia, but all of them are bound together under a bulk shipping ID to get through customs faster.. This saves times at that point by customs only processing "bulk" packages instead of each item individually. It makes alot of sense. This also prevents "warehousing" of inventory. Obviously there were some in warehouses at launch (by my estimation about 6, but that's beside the point) however what we have all seen is batches being shipped in real time as they arrive from Asia.

For my iPhone 6, my shipping tracked all the way back to Asia.

Yes, they do track by pallet number, but that number updates all packages under it.

Correct, but Apple and UPS aren't giving you that information this time..........

That means the shipments to Alaska/Kentucky DO matter as it would mean a few thousand (my best guess at how many they fit on each shipment) of us are that much closer to getting our watches.
