I keep checking this site several times a day. It took me a while to get through on the 10th, then had major problems getting the site to recognize my Apple Store Gift card. Finally got confirmed order at :13:xx (not sure of the millisecond breakdown). So I figure May it is. But I have seen some US orders at the :07 mark show up this afternoon. So I figure it may be 1.5 days per second of your order (wishful thinking); so maybe 9 days from now which will place it somewhere between may 7-11 (depending upon if UPS delivers on weekends). So I should just wait until later next week to check back...but, of course, I won't.

I'm at :14 because of a very similar situation. Had to input two Apple Gift cards and could only do it through the apple website. Of course I found out later that I could have added them after the fact over the phone...

That is what I am hoping for. I have a xx:09 time. For a while though, I was saddened to admit it because it put me further back in the line, maybe others are the same?

I didnt have my original confirmation email because it was sent to an old email account so I was just assuming I was around xx:05. Once I talked to the apple chat people they gave me the xx:08 official time so I am hoping so. Hopeful for a Friday delivery but would need to see some movement by the end of the day tomorrow.

Forgive me for being uninitiated but I'm a little unclear as to what I am looking at here...

That's just the list of UPS planes flying from China to US. People keep posting that link, but there's no real correlation to watch deliveries. Sure, those planes might be carrying some watches, but without UPS tracking info, there's no way to know if the watches are on those flights.

My situation:

Order confirmation came at x:07, expected delivery May 13 - 27. Got a shipment notification from Apple yesterday at 6PM EST with a tracking code that didn't work. Then it started working at around midnight.

Today it went into 'In Transit' in red in the morning without a scheduled delivery date, and now finally it showed a date of tomorrow before noon!

I have not seen a lot of confirmations that are xx:07, xx:08, and xx:09.. Do you think it is reasonable that the majority of people who stayed up to pre order had them all in within the first 6 minutes, and that minute 7, 8 and 9 will see activity quicker than it took to get through the first 6 minutes?

Completely, most people who were going to order them at the moment of launch would have been aiming to do it as soon as it was available to preorder - the bulk of people who ordered on day 1 will have ordered at this time - everyone else will have ordered whenever was convenient (lunch time, after work, the next day, payday etc.)

I think any of us who order <10 minutes were trying to do it at the moment of launch. Those of us closer to 10 minutes, we are the unlucky ones. :(

Since you mention waiting until payday, funny I budgeted for it in April but probably will not get charged until May.

What is the cut off time to go from no activity to getting your watch the next day? Seems like there haven't been many charges today. Im an :05er, but not one of the lucky ones so far.

Not sure if this has been pointed out yet, but at least with Apple, just 'fire and forget'.... at least in the rush of the pre-order. I was pushed to the xx:06 range because I had to change my address not knowing that I could have done that after the fact without it effecting my 'place in line.'

My address and billing information was saved in the app, but not selected. I couldn't continue until I went in and selected them. Time wasted = no watch.

Yes, now I realize this as well as ordering it on my CC then applying the gift card afterwards.

I was paying about 60% on gift cards, but when the website didn't come up in the first minute or two and I found out that the app was up, I just said screw it and used the app. I found out the next day I could apply my gift cards after the fact.

Silly us thinking that a billion dollar computer company would have a functioning website.

likewise, I'm kicking myself because I took the time to change my shipping address, which kicked me to this time frame. I realized later I could have updated after the fact. Noted for future product launches...

time to spread some hope for people in the tristate area. My earlier post said that orders can be charged at any time IN THE US (according to a management team from apple)....not just AK. There is a plane headed to Newark, NJ from Lousiville, scheduled to arrive at 6:21 EST. Maybe some of us NJ/NY/PA people will see some charges soon. Not saying anything definite, just a glimmer of hope :)

You son-of-a....I was trying my best to not even worry about it, but I can see Newark airport from my apartment. I'm going to watch that plane land with my own eyes with such ferocity, that my distant gaze will imprint a shipping label upon whatever comes off of it.
