Getting unreasonably aggravated that I have not even been charged yet.

I was completely ok with my Shipping Dates until the flurry of activity at the end of last week. It made me excited that I would probably be getting mine this week.

Now as of Wednesday, still no movement at all and I am getting aggravated. Totally ridiculous of me because it is still way before my Shipping Dates.

Can't be mad at Apple because they are not late. Stupid to be mad that it is not early but I am anyway.

Whatever. Soon enough I will have my Watch and none of this will matter anymore. And it was kinda fun watching everyone go crazy waiting for their watch.

xx:05 Confirmation

It's not unreasonable. When people in the same exact shipping window as you are getting their Watches earlier, it's aggravating. I wish Apple could at least update everyone's delivery window.

"Chatted" with Apple about the status of my 42 SG (confirmation email @ XX:05:07 to Minneapolis). Asked why orders for the same configuration, in the same country, but after XX:05 were being delivered, while mine has no movement.

blah, blah, blah, processed in the order of received orders, blah, blah, blah.

But why are LATER orders being shipped before earlier orders?

blah, blah, blah.

Customer Service chat is as worthless as the Apple fulfillment process. Steve C. used to be the master at logistics. Seems he (and Apple) have lost the magic at delighting customers.

I have the same sentiments. Completely aggravated seeing all the activity, yet no movement on mine specifically. And it's earlier than the shipment date on my confirmation. I am using that fact to make me feel better and hopeful it will come earlier than the 13th - 27th.

XX:05:51 order here. NW Arkansas. Still no movement. Like others have said. I understood my shipping window but all this movement at, before, and after my own order has me very impatient. I know it shouldn't kill my joy about this exciting new piece of tech, but it is. I know all that will wash away when i start to see movement but still.. :sigh:

What did you think they were going to say? We really hate you, wish you hadn't ordered. We were just hoping you would cancel, but it seems you aren't going to do that. Fine, we'll ship it out today.

Order confirmation at 4/10 @ 3:08AM EST (MA). Zero movement, no EOD.

In all honesty, when do you guys think I should expect to receive the watch? I have a college graduation to attend on the 15th, so knowing my luck that's when the failed delivery attempt will be made..

I'm an xx:05:55 - this gives me hope that mine is coming soon.

42mm Space Grey May 13 - 27

I maintain that none of this makes sense. My order was at XX:05:51 and I've had no movement whatsoever. ::sigh::

I wish they would tell the truth. Would it be so hard for Apple to simply say publicly "We were overwhelmed with orders, and not quite prepared to ship the volume we received. Here is the processing order in which we will fulfill orders for our loyal customers who ordered at midnight on April 10th".

But that isn't the Apple way. Apple would rather remain silent.

Yes, I'm pissed. Why did I order in the middle of the night, when orders are being delivered in apparent random fashion?

Has it been shown definitively that the time stamp on the confirmation is an accurate representation of the order time? I'm not trying to make an excuse, I am actually asking the question because I don't know the answer.

This has been debated over and over again. My conclusion? No one knows what Apple is doing. I doubt even Apple knows what they are doing at this point...

Well the temporary charge from 4/25 fell off my AMEX card today. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing....

Confirmation email: XX:07:02

Exactly. Yesterday, a chat rep told me my order placed at 12:05 was processed at 5:00am... I told her I find that extremely hard to believe

Definitively no, but it seems to be the consensus. Most who have contacted reps have been given order times within seconds of the email. There have been some exceptions.

They did say publicly "We were overwhelmed with orders" in fact, they not only told you the estimated delivery dates before you even bought the device as it stood on the pre-order page, but they said a day before pre-orders went up that "we expect that strong customer demand will exceed our supply at launch." (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/201...re-Preview-Online-Pre-Order-Begin-Friday.html)

Nothing is late. You can moan all you want about orders shipping before yours but that's the nature of a global network of thousands of moving parts in place. Nothing is later than Apple estimated. In fact, as of today every order has shipped at or well before any of the estimated delivery dates. Keep in mind the first delivery estimated window is April 24th - May 8th which is next Friday.

The Apple representative wouldn't even be able to tell you what you ask.

Just chill.

There have been a number of people that seem to be confusing the minute and the hour of the pre-order time. Most likely they either meant to or were telling you the minute after going on sale that your order went through.

I think we all understand your points. However, why are orders in my same delivery window, placed after mine, being delivered for the past several days? Is my order less important? I think so.

In an effort to answer my own question, I just conducted a simple experiment. I sent out an email from my work email address to two of my personal email addresses provided by two different services (cox.net and gmail.com) and checked the time stamp on each.

cox.net showed a timestamp of 13:07:48 (converted to CDT)
gmail.com showed a timestamp of 13:08:02 (converted to CDT)

A difference of 19 seconds. Just something to think about.

It is irrational to be aggravated that someone somewhere claims they got a watch that you think you should have gotten first. At the end of the day, the only thing is relevant is whether you get the iWatch in the window that Apple stated.

The shipments and allocations are based on systems, not people sitting around saying "hmmm, who do we give an iwatch to today?" No one here knows how watches being allocated per distribution center - for instance, does everyone get 1000 random watches or every center get 100 SG, 100 SS, or do they get X% of the demand in that center?

Yes. That is exactly what happened!

Somehow the systems were overridden by a manager who determined that YOUR iWatch should go to someone in Los Angeles.

Because we're dealing with a global operation that is ridiculously complicated. There's nothing to support the theory that it even really matters what minute and second you placed an order. In reality, the devices are assembled in a factory that most likely doesn't have the granularity to assign order numbers to devices in real time as they are being made. What happens is you get discrete batches of devices that are lumped together and shipped off. You have to remember we're talking about differences in seconds of ordering. It's just a by-product of dealing with this amount of units in such a small time scale.

In this scenario it's possible for units to get shipped to some before making it to others. They seem to be the outlier here. In most cases, they are mostly lining up in order of purchasing time.

My logical, calm, understanding side totally gets this. The :apple: fanboy side of me is freaking out because everyone else is getting theirs but not me.

Seriously though, totally get it and your points are very valid. I'm wondering if those who are extremely eager are the ones who typically wait in line at the stores on launch day, like myself.
