It is irrational to be aggravated that someone somewhere claims they got a watch that you think you should have gotten first. At the end of the day, the only thing is relevant is whether you get the iWatch in the window that Apple stated.

The shipments and allocations are based on systems, not people sitting around saying "hmmm, who do we give an iwatch to today?" No one here knows how watches being allocated per distribution center - for instance, does everyone get 1000 random watches or every center get 100 SG, 100 SS, or do they get X% of the demand in that center?

Except that it was stated by Apple Management in a press release that they are fulfilling in the order that the orders were received which is clearly not the case. My assumption is that is what is aggregating people. I haven't had any movement and am aggregated but there isn't much I can do so I go about my life.

However, why are orders in my same delivery window, placed after mine, being delivered for the past several days? Is my order less important? I think so.

Every time you post a less than flattering comment about Apple, your order is pushed back three spots. Had you read your iTunes User Agreement you would have known about this.

It's not unreasonable. When people in the same exact shipping window as you are getting their Watches earlier, it's aggravating. I wish Apple could at least update everyone's delivery window.

That doesnt even bother me. Good for them for getting their Watches early.

rant/

Everyone in this wave you WILL NOT GET the "EOD" I find it funny most of you think you will. The reason why other people got the "EOD" on Friday was because the first day of their shipping window arrived. If you are going to get an "EOD"...it will be on 5/13.

Sorry dont know why this bothers me so much

Because we're dealing with a global operation that is ridiculously complicated.

But, I had bought into the "Apple hype" that Apple was the master of global operations that were ridiculously complicated. There are many of us loyal Apple customers who feel let down in this launch. My opinion.

I actually thought it was 3,000 spots, but it was worth the venting. :)

order

To everyone complaining that you haven't received an item earlier than the expected delivery date, please DO cancel. Less orders will mean those waiting patiently will get their orders sooner.

My logical, calm, understanding side totally gets this. The :apple: fanboy side of me is freaking out because everyone else is getting theirs but not me.

Seriously though, totally get it and your points are very valid. I'm wondering if those who are extremely eager are the ones who typically wait in line at the stores on launch day, like myself.

I understand the feeling completely. It bubbles in me too. I also think these forums exasperate the negativity because it's naturally slanted towards those who post updates in their order rather than people that are still waiting. So at the end of the day all you see are people excitedly saying how they were charged and prepping to ship and delivering tomorrow etc. Does the body bad.

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! :)

xx:15:xx here. hoping to receive my watch sometime this year

THIS year ? Probably not :)

Well the temporary charge from 4/25 fell off my AMEX card today. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing....

They did say publicly "We were overwhelmed with orders" in fact, they not only told you the estimated delivery dates before you even bought the device as it stood on the pre-order page, but they said a day before pre-orders went up that "we expect that strong customer demand will exceed our supply at launch." (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/201...re-Preview-Online-Pre-Order-Begin-Friday.html)

Nothing is late. You can moan all you want about orders shipping before yours but that's the nature of a global network of thousands of moving parts in place. Nothing is later than Apple estimated. In fact, as of today every order has shipped at or well before any of the estimated delivery dates. Keep in mind the first delivery estimated window is April 24th - May 8th which is next Friday.

The Apple representative wouldn't even be able to tell you what you ask.

Just chill.

Exactly.

And its obvious that region plays a role. That said, I wonder if there is some consideration for the time that a connection was established on the website prior to the order be finalized. It does seem on the micro level that there is some inconsistency in order to ship times even within the same region/city.

That said, on the macro level, it is obviously not completely out of order as we are pretty close in terms of times ordered for the various shipments that are going out.

Now if people ordering WAY past others or even different days were shipping out first, I would be concerned, but someone a minute or so after you? Come on! Its obviously going by some system, we just don't understand the workings behind the scenes.

And if people weren't obsessing about it so much no one would even care and people would be happy when they got shipping earlier than the delivery dates they were presented with prior to ordering (with the minor exception of people who ordered right at the window and the email confirmation had it bumped)

So I spoke to Apple Chat today as I was curious if they knew anything about the shipping process...

First, my confirmation email was sent at 12:05:56 but their order time in the system is 12:05:51. Makes sense and she gave me the full time including seconds which was nice.

Second, she as just as confused as we are regarding the order that items are being fulfilled in. She ordered a watch at launch as well as her neighbor. She got her order in minutes before her neighbor but she is still waiting on her watch. Same exact model as her neighbor as well. I found it interesting that she is experiencing the same frustration that we are regarding shipments that were supposed to be first in, first out.

I also found it reassuring that even she, as an Apple employee, couldn't wave her magic Apple iWand over her computer to make her order ship any faster. She's waiting just as impatiently as the rest of us.

Shipping to NYC

Got up this morning to find it had moved to "Preparing for Shipment." Credit card had been charged sometime in the night/early morning.

Just received Shipping Notification email from Apple. Got a UPS tracking number, but it does not seem to be in their system yet. No, I don't have My UPS, and not bothering to sign up for it just to track this shipment.

Long time lurker I figured I would chime in a bit. I have a 42MM space grey sport ordered, 09:37 email time. Not gonna stress til it gets to June and if then no watch that's when we should all start moaning! Until then keeping an eye on everything to see the progress!

I'm sorry to be leaving this group because it has been kind of fun tracking the excitement of folks getting their watch, discussion of planes and xx:xx times. However, I got impatient (not a good quality), canceled my order at Apple and bought my watch on Craigslist for $500. Of course, it's more than if I had waited, but not nearly as much as some vultures are trying to get on Craigslist and eBay.

I wish everyone well and speedy delivery of your watches. Of course, I will be on the Forums as I learn the watch and get tips. Thanks to all who participate in this thread!

I'd do the same but i can't find one that's a 42 mm on criagslist that isn't a complete joke of a price or a pre order that hasn't come yet :(

Just watched a news segment on how the first wave of Apple Watches are out and I am also hearing about how all my friends are getting theirs. The Apple fan girl in me is not happy right now! By the time all of us hardcore Apple fans get ours it will be yesterday's news. This is the worst launch ever. Sigh... I wish I wasn't this impatient! Who's with me! ;)

Why do people blame Angela?
She's in charge of the Apple Store. She's not in charge of the production of the watch. How is it her fault that the demand is much higher than what Apple can supply?
People need to relax. It's been only 5 days since launch. And is only a watch.
Be patient grasshoppers!!

bought my watch on Craigslist for $500

more reasonable than a lot of crazy prices I have seen. I was also tempted, but didn't want some scum making money out of my misery...so I have been waiting and wearing out the keyboard on my laptop reading and refreshing and reading..and waiting, and waiting, and refreshing

FYI I chatted Apple. My email confirmation came at xx:05:32 but my order was received by Apple at xx:05:28. Still haven't see any movement though. Im in Cincinnati, OH.

I'll be picking mine up today at the UPS center.

Overall, to order four minutes in (12:05am) seeing a 4-6 week launch time was awful. Five days after launch though? Not so bad.
