Work Orders

Just out of my curiosity. Will anyone share the last six digits of their work order mine is 018235. I am just curious how the actual work orders stacked up.

I think we're getting charged when the watch leaves the 'dock' in China. My Amex got charged at 1am and the ups label was created at around 4pm same day. I have no idea how long a cargo jet takes to get from there to here.
1am is about the time they are landing in Louisville. 12am - 2am in gen the past few nights.

Anyone Willing

I am speaking to a higher up at Apple, and they do not believe me that people after my order time of XX:4:51 have already had their watches shipped, while mine has not. Would anyone who has already had the watch shipped (and preferably received for safety sake) be willing to send me their order number?

UPS shows each location of arrival and departure. If you look at the last destination before you were billed that should give you a good idea of which location billing takes place at.

How long did it take for you guys to get from "Preparing Shipment" to "Shipped"? I got charged tonight and now I'm curious how long it will take from now on.

This is strange. I noticed my order email address was an old instapaper email that I don't use. Then I changed the order email, and was charged less than 3 minutes later.

Looks like my order is shipping soon! If it was anything like our 38mm, I should have the watch by Friday. Also, no update yet to the apple store (which is also strange).

What a total let down of a day! The mail delivery woman at my job comes in and has me sign for a package from apple. I am almost freaking out with excitement! I open it and guess what!!! It's the darn charger I ordered - here ahead of the damn watch! Biggest WTF moment ever. Had the same problem with the damn iPhone 6 +. I seem to have bad luck with these launches. #

Gotcha, Well hope you get your watch soon, and cant wait for mine to get here.:D

Was preauth'ed on my Amex on on 8/28 at about 1am PST. No movement for a charge or tracking number yet. No UPS notification. Got me all excited and now nothing...

Confirmation email at xx:09:03

The label was created in Louisville at 724pm. Amex was charged at 1am, 18 hours before that. That's why I was kinda thinking it was charged as it left China. Already got it earlier today. Week 16 production. They really are shipping them right off the assembly line.

I think a lot of us are going to be waiting beyond the originally quoted delivery dates
..if this whole taptic engine supplier problem is true ..then we are all screwed

Me too bud. I had the leather and rubberized cases long before I ever had my 6+, and again I had woken up at 0150 to get ready to order that morning. In that case, it was just that the site and apps all were so flaky you couldn't get orders in without timeouts and errors.

I may have you beat. I got my chargers last week, totally expected, tracking the package and everything. About an hour after they were delivered I got a notification from the Apple Store app; I was very excited, only to see that it was notifying me that my package had been delivered.

And yesterday my UPS app notified me that I had a package coming, and the only thing I'm currently expecting is the Watch. Yay! Except it's actually one of those annoying mortgage re-fi offers Chase sends about every three weeks. Which, up until now, have always come via FedEx.

I tell you, this is destroying my blood pressure. Hard to believe I'm a grown-up.

I think that's already happened. The current supply issues appear to be a result of it; I don't think it's going to get worse.

I don't think it's consistent. There's a post from a guy who got charged at about 6am, tracking number by 3pm and due for delivery tomorrow.

I got charged at 3am, it's now 3pm and nothing so far. Apple says preparing for shipment but nothing else. If I don't get notice in a couple of hours then I will be sad cos that means no delivery tomorrow and I go on holiday on Friday and they will try to deliver but I won't be here until 13th May

I've been in the pit of despair since I ordered my watch at 2 am and saw that I was still going to have to wait until May to get it. ;)

At least when we get them late, it has a chance of having a working taptic engine. Maybe.

XX:04:50 Nothing. Dallas.

Wow - that is pretty bad. I agree that I don't think it's going to get worse. I think we are pretty much in for the wait we were given. And probably on the further end of that wait. Well here's to anticipation! Which, I guess is just as good as the product itself. This 6+ already consumes enough of my time as it is.

The only way to make total sense of this mess might be to reverse engineer the delivery to shipment to manufacture by using the serial number and these confirmation emails (or Apple verified system times). I don't know how to decode that info though, and I haven't received my watch yet either (42SG 5/13-27 xx:07:49 Chicago, US). Maybe someone can put something together on a google doc to compare, e.g. week# + last 4# by conf email time/deliv date. It would be interesting to see if working backwards shows that that Apple did in fact manufacture in order of receipt even if they couldn't deliver in that order.

Edit: I wonder too if the Taptic engine issues prompted a recall of certain serial numbers, watches that perhaps were intended for those with earlier email times that have seen no movement. That would throw this measurement way off.
