I was charged yesterday at 4pm MST, went to Preparing for Shipping around 3am MST today, and Shipped at 2:12pm MST today. Tracking number exists but probably won't work until later tonight. Shipment coming to Utah.

The way I see it, charged as it left the factory, preparing when it landed in (Anchorage, maybe?) and shipped as it left the primary distribution center (Louisville?) but not sure if any of that makes sense.

I live South Loop and I am definitely not gonna let my Building's Package Room folks lay their handson my Watch Package. Do you know where the nearest UPS center where I can request it to be held (after it ships...hopefully next week
I don't, sorry. UPS comes direct to our office; the mail room doesn't get their grubby mitts on it.
I got my order confirmation on 4/10 at 3:05 EST. I got changed to preparing for shipping in the AM and just got a tracking number 1 hour ago.

I got there at 5:30 last night. Took about 45 minutes line, 15 minutes to order.
They have other sports and 38 but 42 SG is their most popular, the host whispered to me.
They also have SS I think but no Milanese yet.

There's one out in the burbs near o'hare I believe. About a 45 min drive when not in nfl draft traffic

Based on previous post man will probably not be shipped until early next week.
I think we have given Apple wait too much slack due to the fact that they made the first announcement regarding this watch in September, which is over 7 months. And a week later they have only shipped the first five minutes of orders. For the average person it is of more benefit, marketing wise, to see a watch on your neighbor or coworkers arm than it is on Beyoncé arm or Pharel's arm!
I think we have given Apple wait too much slack due to the fact that they made the first announcement regarding this watch in September, which is over 7 months. And a week later they have only shipped the first five minutes of orders. For the average person it is of more benefit, marketing wise, to see a watch on your neighbor or coworkers arm than it is on Beyoncé arm or Pharel's arm!
If you are at all willing, I HIGHLY recommend Maxfield in LA. Come in after 3 to reserve your preorder then they fulfill it in 1-3 days.
I went last night to preorder a 42 SG hoping I would get it Friday. Today around noon they called me it's ready, drove there and voilah!Watch.

So did you order the 42 SG? I live like 6 miles away. Should I bother? I want the damn thing now... :-/

Yes, delaying cash flow is an obvious business strategy for a company like Apple. They don't want money as soon as they can get it.
I agree, but I also went there and bought a 42mm SS BSB. I'm happy they are getting stock because after my try on I regretted my initial preorder and if it weren't for Maxfield I would just have had to live with it until the apple watch 2.

I say definitely try to do it tonight. Try to get there before 6 because they do a hard stop of preorders at 7. I would say tomorrow and the weekend could be more hectic although they do seem to get shipments daily.
I was not a believer until I got the call and almost screamed at work due to excitement.
Ordered at xx:07 according to the e-mail confirmation. No sign of any movement which seems par for the course for that time.
